Abel Kimball was born in Boxford, Mass., Oct. 10, 1762.
With his father's family he, when a child, removed to Rindge, New Hampshire, from which place he enlisted in the War of the Revolution in Col. Mooney's regiment, also in Col. Enoch Hale's regiment, and served therein in Feb. 1780. He was also an ensign, and afterwards a Captain in the militia. He received a pension in 1832.
He married Mary Parker, in New Hampshire, and then resided a short time in Vermont, but soon returned to Rindge, where he lived until 1809, then he removed to Jeffrey, N.H., living there until 1811, when he with his brother Lemuel came to Ohio.
Upon the death of his wife he married Abigail Cunningham. He had no children.
He died March 4, 1841, and is buried in the village cemetery in Madison, Ohio.
