Stephen D. Carroll, the present Postmaster of Painesville, was appointed by President Wilson in February, 1914, and as the Painesville post office is a first-class office the position is considered an important one. Mr. Carroll was before his appointment connected with The Educational Supply Company, which Company publishes the Lake County Herald and through the medium of the Herald was brought into close touch with the business men of the city and county, and his devotion to the best interests of his environments made his appointment a popular one.
