Ezra Carpenter died Aug. 7, 1849, aged eighty-four years, eleven months, and twenty-eight days, and sleeps in Kirtland Cemetery.
His service in the Revolutionary War was at an alarm in Rhode Island, Dec. 8, 1781, under Capt. Jacob Ide, commanded by Col. Daggett.
