During the time of the Revolutionary War (1776-1783) Ohio had not been declared as part of the Colonies, therefore had no men to participate in the war efforts. But some of those that did participate settled in the Ohio territory later. Here is a list of names of those that did participate, and did live in Erie County, taken from DAR records.
