Iona A. (Pocock) Weyer

Iona A. Weyer, 89, Castalia, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in Parkvue Healthcare Center.
She was born in Clyde, OH on April 12, 1929, to the late Clifford and Emma (Martin) Pocock.
She worked at home on the farm, and the former Lutheran Home. Iona loved watching the Cleveland Indians, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Weyer, to whom she was married 69 years; children, Bonnie (Bruce) Neil, Whites Landing, Patsy (Timothy) Longnecker, Sandusky, Roger (Laurie) Weyer and Richard (Sylvia) Weyer both of Castalia; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Alma (John) Toft and Phylis Wadding both of Sandusky, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Thelma Miller; brothers, Wayne Pocock, Claude Pocock, Denzel “Bud” Pocock, and Bernard “Abe” Pocock.
Friends may call on Monday, February 18, 2019, from 4-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
