Yvonne Wallrath

January 7, 1940 ~ March 24, 2018

Yvonne Yolanda Wallrath,78, returned to her heavenly home early Saturday morning, March 24, 2018 after a ten-year battle with lymphoma. The soothing care of her devoted family made her passing peaceful and truly beautiful. Praises to God and the entire Cleveland Clinic staff for all they did for her and our family.

Yvonne was born to the late Carol and Yolanda Toth in Cleveland, Ohio on January 7, 1940. She grew up loving art and poetry, later becoming a published poet. She graduated from West Tech High School then attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, focusing on life drawing, acrylics and watercolors. Her strength in Christ carried her through hardships leading her to join the Catholic church. Yvonne was blessed with a large and loving family.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Arthur Loren Wallrath; her son Arthur Karl; her daughters Yvette (John Shannon), Heather (Pat Taylor) and Lorna (Steve Findley); her grandchildren Christopher (Sierra), Keith, Scott, Anna, Lucas, Madison, Sarabeth, Samuel, Charlotte, Michael Raymond, Michael Patrick, Erin, Emma Leigh; and great-grandson Mason.

Yvonne was an amazing grandmother who transformed every corner of her home into a magical world of fantasy.

The visitation will be on Monday, April 2 at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main Street, Huron, 2-4 pm with Vigil service, and 7-9 pm. Fr. Jeff McBeth will officiate the funeral service, 11am on Tuesday, April 3 at St Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron with burial immediately following at the Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road, Lorain. Reception to follow at St Peter Catholic Church.
