Jacoba (Mein) Vanderpyl

Jacoba Vanderpyl, 95, of Huron, passed away Thursday morning, February 28, 2019 in her home after a brief illness.

She was born in Holland on February 15, 1924 to the late O. Mein and Jantje Groenbroek. Jacoba and her late husband, Arie, moved to the U.S. with their young daughter in 1957.

For many years she wintered in North Fort Myers, FL. She called those she loved in Holland on the telephone to stay in touch.

Jacoba loved her daughter, granddaughters, and great-grandson immensely.

She is survived by her daughter, Janny C. (Bill Schaefer) Myers, of Huron; granddaughters, Kate (Chris) Flohr, of Columbus, and Diane (Justin) Toft, of Sandusky; great-grandson, Theodore Toft; and many family members in Holland and Canada including siblings, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arie; and siblings.

Jacoba wanted to be cremated. There will be no public service.
