Ned W. Tucker

October 11, 1928 ~ March 9, 2019

Ned W. Tucker, age 90, of Bay View Sandusky, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Saturday morning, March 9, 2019, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

He was born October 11, 1928, in Lake City, TN. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of the NRA and American Legion. Ned loved to go hunting and fishing, listen to country music, and in his younger years, taking his boys and sometimes girls turtle trapping and frog gigging.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Myrtle (Sibert) Tucker; five children Sandra (Michael) Farmer, Vermilion, Sharon Lippert, Sandusky, Gary (Marla) Tucker, Whites Landing, Greg (Cindy) Tucker, Fremont, and Rhonda (Larry) Kimberlin, Grafton; 18 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; daughter in law Marla Tucker; son in-laws John Whyde and Emmett Trapp; and several nieces and nephews.

Ned was preceded in death by three children Donna Trapp, Margaret Whyde, and James Denver Tucker; grandchildren Jennifer Trapp, Jason D. Tucker, Charlotte Trapp, Johnny Lopez, Kevin J. Slaughter, and Patience Matthews; parents James and Lola (McQueen) Tucker; two sisters Mary Helen and Juliann; and three brothers Marschall, Denver, and Leon.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 13, 2019, from 10 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Officiant Jeff Trapp will officiate.

Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
