January 23, 1934 ~ July 14, 2018
Thelma J. Stidham, 84, of Huron, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
She was born January 23, 1934 in Jenkins, KY and has lived in Huron since 1952. She worked for 9 years at New Departure, Sandusky.
Thelma's early years were spent in Bold Camp, VA, with her father. She started school in Miami, FL before moving to KY. She lived with her mother in Jenkins, KY. She continued her education there. Before long, she noticed the family across the street. One member would eventually become her husband of 60 years. She settled in Huron, OH with the love of her life, Ted Stidham and their two sons, Bradley and Jeffrey.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, playing games of Chance and loved being "Mamaw" to her grandchildren. She'll be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her love of life and simple pleasures such as sitting on her mother-in-law's front porch in KY and watching the rain fall.
In her later years she enjoyed traveling and going out to dinner with her son Bradley. She will be sadly missed by her son, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Cheryl DeGralome. May she rest in peace.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron where services will be held Thursday, July 19th at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Mel Sayler, officiating.
