Aldora Elizabeth Norris

October 20, 1934 - January 9, 2019

Sandusky, died Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019.

She was born in Montgomery, AL on October 20, 1934 to the late Nathaniel and Mattie (Davis) Smith. Aldora graduated in the 5th class of Sandusky School of Practical Nursing. She was a LPN for the former Providence Hospital and Erie County Care Facility for many years. Aldora enjoyed her work very much and was known for her generosity and kindness, but was quick to tell you off if you needed it.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Browder, Detroit, MI; son, Nate Norris, Sandusky; grandson, Germaine Browder, Sandusky; brother, Arthur (Sharon) Smith, Southfield, MI; special grandchildren, Jenifer, Anjelika “Jel”, Kenny, and Aaron; and family is not only the ones who are born to you, but also the ones you love, sisters-in-law, Anna Baron, Sandusky, Beatrice Smith, Detroit, MI, and Bertha Smith, Montgomery, AL; special nephew, Steven Brown; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Norris in 1994; parents; sisters, Gertrude Mathews, Ida Mae Clemmens, Anne Mae Mahone, and Arizona Smith; brothers, Nathaniel Smith, Elijah Smith, Morris Smith, and James Smith in infancy.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 P.M. in funeral home, with Minister Bobbie Langdon officiating. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
