Denver Daniel Miller, Jr.

August 2, 1933 - January 4, 2019

Denver D. "Junie" Miller, Jr., 85, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Friday evening, January 4, 2019, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.

Born on August 2, 1933, in Bellevue, OH the son of Denver D. and Wilma (Schuler) Miller, Sr. Denver had attended Sandusky High School. He had worked at the Lower Lake Dock Company for nearly 35 years, retiring in 1991.

He enjoyed watching all sports, but he especially loved NASCAR. You knew when Denver was out and about on a sunny day when you saw him making his rounds around town in his 1953 white FORD truck. Denver was a quiet type of guy, but he enjoyed being visited by his family and friends at his home.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Sandusky Athletic Club, Kaman's Korners and other local establishments where he would go to visit his friends.

Survived by his family, Vicki (Bob) Obergefell of Vermilion, Kirk Miller of Newark, OH, Deborah Miller of Dallas, TX and Jeff (MaryEllen) Miller of Beaver, PA; eight grandchildren, Kara Obergefell and Kirk Jr., Jesse, Dustin (Tara), Matthew (Sabrina), Shannon, Erin and Stephany Jane Miller; two great-granddaughters, Isabell and Icis; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Nancy L. (Druckenmiller) Miller on February 3, 2015.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019, from 10 am until time of the funeral services at 11:30 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Philip A. Gardner of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
