Mary Ellen Logan

Mary Ellen Logan (Heneghan), 86, of Huron, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at her residence.

Mary was born July 29 1931 in Chicago, IL, one of six children born to Irish immigrant parents. Mary worked in advertising before meeting David Logan and eventually marrying and moving to Sandusky, in 1960. She and her husband, bought and ran the Sandusky Golf Driving Range on Cleveland Road for 38 years before retiring to Huron. Mary and David also spent over 40 years wintering in Clewiston, FL. Mary enjoyed reading, sewing, and dogs, but mostly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughters Kim (Carlo) Martello, of Huron, and Jodi (Wayne) Stambaugh of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Julia, Lauren, and Anna Martello and Logan and Rachael Stambaugh.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Logan in 2016; her parents, Michael and Mary (Casey) Heneghan; her five siblings, John Heneghan, Therese Gallichio, Michael Heneghan, and twin brothers, Tom and Pat Heneghan.

Friends may call Friday, Aug 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron.

Funeral Mass will be at 12 noon at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Rev. Jeffrey McBeth officiating.
