Michael Allen Likes

May 24, 1954 - June 24, 2020

Michael Allen Likes, 66, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.

On a sunny day in May, Michael was born in Sandusky, OH to the late Earl R. Sr. and Mary Ann (Sprau) Likes.

Michael graduated from Perkins High School in 1972, and immediately began working at GM New Departure for the next 32 years. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

Michael is survived by his friend of 20 years, Annette Hatfield and her son, Kevin both of Sandusky; his best friend and sister, Ginny (Squeak) Jackson of Sandusky; brothers, Earl (Sherry) Likes Jr. and Jeffrey L. Likes both of Sandusky; favorite cats, Stinky and Black Eye and numerous nieces and other loving relatives.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his niece, Victoria Likes; sister-in-law, Sherrel Likes; grandparents, Ray and Cora Likes and aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank everyone at Firelands and Stein Hospice for their compassion and care. You are all angels.

A private burial will be held in Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
