Louis Joseph Kromer, 78, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Louis was born on April 28, 1940 in Sandusky, OH to the late Louis E. and Josephine (Good) Kromer.
Louis retired in 1993 from General Motors after 22 1/2 years of service. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Louis was a member of the AMVETS and the American Legion.
Louis is survived by his daughter, Billie Jo Kromer of Sandusky; grandchildren, Ashley and Justin Kromer; great-grandchildren, Leandre, Leianah, and Leariea Butler; son, Ken Sullivan and sister, Joyce Howard.
He is also survived by his special friend, Patty Swartz; step-children and grandchildren, Angelique Frazier, Doree (Don) Dickman; Chrissy, Matt, Grant, and Devin Dickman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Louis is preceded in death by his son, Louis E. Kromer; daughter, Tammy Speir; sisters, JoAnn Taylor, Mary James, Deloris Joyner and Donna Sharp and brother, Richard Kromer.
Friends may call on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm until the time of memorial services at 7:00 pm at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky. Pastor Ken Hiser will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
