Allen "Al" C. Johnson, 75, residing in Huron, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Al was born on August 18, 1944 in Sandusky, OH to the late Harold Francis Johnson Sr. and Lila Ann (Lieb) Johnson Bouy.
Al graduated from Sandusky High School in 1963. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. Al retired from Ford Motor Company after 36 years of service. Al was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Sandusky Amvets, American Legion, Orioles Club and the Ford Local UAW #1216. Al was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting in Southern Ohio, watching NASCAR, going to breakfast with his friends and brothers and attending estate sales with his wife. He really enjoyed and took pride in being a godfather to four special people.
Al is survived by his wife, Karon (Kieffer) Johnson, whom he married on November 26, 1966. He is also survived by his five brothers, Robert of Sandusky, Kenneth (Sandra) of Castalia, Harold Jr. "Tut" of Castalia, Eugene and Larry Johnson all of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Sandra Kieffer of Huron and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Al is preceded in death by his step-father, Norman Bouy; sisters-in-law, Carole and Maureen Johnson and his brother-in-law, Ralph Kieffer.
A private family memorial service will be held at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. _ will officiate services.
