Lois A. Hottenroth, 90, residing in St. Petersburg, FL, and formerly of Sandusky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 26, 2019, with her family by her side.
She was born on March 26, 1928, in Sandusky to the late John and Cora (Werner) Alton. Growing up in Sandusky she was a 1948 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Lois was a secretary for the Maintenance Department at Cedar Point and a secretary to Dr. Thomas Brosky for 11 years.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and Christ Lutheran Church, Florida, American Legion Auxillary, Elks, and The Red Hat Society. Lois enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, preparing family meals in her home, and time spent with her husband Frank and family on their boat.
She is survived by her son, Dean Hottenroth, St. Petersburg, FL; daughters, Chris (Tim) Cummings, Sandusky, and Anne Erdman, Arizona; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a special niece, Linda Skillman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Franklin Hottenroth on May 22, 2000; brother, Jack Alton; and sisters, Marie Cole and Audrey Boesch.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 2 P.M. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2211 Mills St., Sandusky. Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate.
A private burial will take place in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
