Bill Hoffman passed away Wednesday February 27, 2019 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
He was born May 24,1934 in Berlin Heights, to Nelson & Helen (Hendrickson) Hoffman and graduated from Berlin Hts. High School in 1952. Following graduation he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1960.
Bill loved sports, enjoyed bowling, softball, golf and was an avid fan of all Ohio sports teams. He retired from Glidden in Huron and was a member of VFW Post 2743, The Huron Eagles Post 2875 and The Amercian Legion Post 83.
Bill is survived by his wife Diane, whom he married in 1957; daughters Sandie (Jim) Beal, Milan, Amy (Dave) Svoboda, Reynoldsburg; son, Wm. Scott (Bev) Hoffman, Harpersfield; 10 Grandchildren, Scott D. and Angelina Hoffman, Samantha (Zach) Bates, Cameron, Connor and Leah Svoboda, Andrew (Dayna) McBride, Kate (Dan) Hampton, Jae and Stephanie Beal; 5 Great Grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jeanette Stewart, and brother, Nelson (Cise) Hoffman.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services, noon on Monday March 4th at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron, with Chaplain Mel Sayler presiding.
Interment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
