Daniel N. Hallingshead Sr.

April 14, 1954 - January 26, 2019

Daniel N. Hallingshead Sr., 64, residing in Bellevue, passed away Saturday evening, January 26, 2019 at Bellevue Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Daniel was born on April 14, 1954 in Castalia, OH to the late James Elster and Wilma Lee (Bohling) Hallingshead.

Daniel was a Veteran of the United States Marines. He retired from construction and other maintenance work. Daniel was affiliated with Freewill Baptist Church and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He loved camping on the river at Mohican, he was a die hard Cleveland Browns fan, he was a handyman, and always willing to help someone in need and lend them a helping hand.

Daniel is survived by the love of his life and mother of his children, Lisa Hallingshead. He is also survived by his daughters, Sarah (Brian) Funni, Erica Gray, Victoria Gray, Kendal (Jordan) Aldrich and Hollie (Logan) Hallingshead; sons, Kyle (Brittany) Gray and Daniel (Danielle) Hallingshead Jr.; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Briah, Julia, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Elijah, Josiah, Jedidiah, Nolan, Adalyn, Aliyah, Anthony III, Brylee, Kylee, Tommie III, Landon, Jaidan, Kendalyn, Aydan, Rylyn, Noah, Tristin, Elise, Esme and Daniel III; sisters, Sandra (Mark) Luck of Kansas City, KS and Donna (Joe) Dorobek of Clyde, OH; good friends, Dennis "Homer", Dave McClure and Bill Tolliver and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his infant grandson, Kamdyn Aldrich; brothers, William Sr and Jeffrey Hallingshead; infant brother, Roger Dean Hallingshead; nephew, William Hallingshead Jr. and best friend, Ned Oeder.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 in the funeral home at 1:00 pm.
