April 11, 1952 ~ February 20, 2018
Bob Haas was welcomed with open arms by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday February 20, 2018.
Bob was born on April 11, 1952 in Canton, OH. He graduated from Glenoak High School in 1970. Bob never met a stranger. He was kind and loving to all he met. His sarcasm and laugh was contagious. He loved making people laugh and making them feel at home. He would give the shirt off his back or the last $5 in his wallet if someone needed it. He was a servant of God and lived his life serving at his church, Huron United Methodist Church as an usher, committee member and LOGOS cook. The youth LOGOS program was very important to Bob.
Bob was the best husband, son, father, brother, uncle and Papa. He was caring, compassionate, understanding, humble, patient and most of all fun. He will forever be missed but the values and character he instilled in his children and grandchildren will forever be with us. His grandchildren meant the world to him and will forever miss him but will remember the amazing Papa they were able to love, even if it were cut too short.
Bob worked for Ford Motor Company first in Canton, then retiring from the Sandusky Plant. After retiring, Bob enjoyed traveling, working at his part time job at The Gym where he strived to be #1 and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by the love of his life Judy (Ott), children, Bethany (Jerry) Marxmiller, Bryan (Julie) Haas and Katie (Andrew) Custar. His mother Doris Haas, sister Barb (Haas) Adams, mother-in-law Mary Ott. His five grandchildren, Riley, Lilly, Sophia, Lincoln and Addalyn. Brother-in-laws Dave (Elaine) Ott, Denny Ott. Sister-in-law Kathy Ott and many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceded in death by his father Donn Haas, brothers Terry, Rick and Randy Haas, Father-in-law Dalton Ott, brother-in-law John Ott and his sister-in-law Leanne Ott.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 23rd, from 4-7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home and Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 24th at 11 a.m. at the Huron United Methodist Church, 338 Williams St, Huron.
