Robert Foltz

December 22, 1924 ~ July 10, 2017

Robert “Bob” Clarence Foltz, 92, residing in Huron, left this earth to join our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH.

Bob was born December 22, 1924 in Cleveland, OH to the late Stephen Bartoszewski and Helen (Palusakiewski ) Bartoszewski. Helen remarried Arthur Foltz, and they raised Dad to become the person we know and love.

Bob is survived by Timothy Foltz, Leesburg, Ind., and Sandra Boetticher, Huron; grandchildren, Amy (Boetticher) Stroman (David), Kevin Boetticher, (Hayleigh Robertson), Cleveland, Danielle Foltz, Toledo, and Brad Williams, Toledo, OH.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Foltz, sons Gregory and Ronald Foltz, a sister, Virginia Sutorus, and a brother, Arthur Foltz.

Bob is a WWII Navy veteran serving as an aviation metalsmith on USS Randolph CV15 carrier.

Bob graduated Oberlin High School and Ohio Wesleyan. He retired from Huron Middle School, where he taught math and science. He was involved in several sports programs, most notable is his accomplishments as a wrestling coach, where several went on to become high school state champions. He was well loved and respected, a favorite teacher to many.

Bob was an avid fisherman and gardener, but above all, a devoted husband and father.

Friends may call Thursday, July 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 14th at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Father Jeffery McBeth officiating.

Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron
