Maxine E.. Childress

Maxine E. Childress, no age given, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Willowood Care Center, Brunswick.

She was born in Fayette County, PA. She worked overseas for the Army in Italy in her young years and then was a teacher for over 20 years in Parma. She moved to Huron and was a 25 year resident.

She was a member of the Huron Eagles. She enjoyed shopping, lunching, and spending time with her special Red Hats friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Alysia Kissel of Oberlin, and Elle (David) Smith of Brunswick, OH; three grandchildren, Eric, Adam, and Ricky; great-grandchildren, David Jeffrey, Amber, Aubrey, and Keira; and special family friends Rose and Bob Porinchok.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Childress in 2010; and parents, William and Helen (Badovinac) Derov.

Friends may call Saturday, May 27th from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Father Jeffrey McBeth, officiating.

Burial will be in McMillen Cemetery, Huron.
