Esther A. Burr, 100, of Sandusky, died Friday afternoon, April 13, 2007, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born March 10, 1907, in Ceylon, Ohio, and was a 1925 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. She was also a graduate of Sandusky Business College.
Esther was employed by Lake Shore Electric Company in Sandusky and Cleveland, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church, Sandusky and her hobbies included gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Helen (Orlan) Kuns of Castalia; two grandchildren, Martin L. (Laura) Kuns of Highland Heights, Ohio, and Kay A. Smith of Oak Harbor; four great-grandchildren, Justin and Brett Smith, and Martin A. and Vincent Kuns; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Richard Daniels of Vermilion and Mrs. Luther Gowitzka of Sandusky; and a special niece and nephew, Albert and Ruth Summers of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Burr, in 1970; her parents, Ashbil and Elizabeth (Hildebrandt) Daniels; one great-granddaughter, Vanessa Kuns; one sister, Doris Summers; and five brothers, John, Nelson, Charles, Robert and Richard Daniels.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday in Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private services for the family will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

Samuel Burr, 88, former resident of Castalia and retired farmer, died at his home, South Columbus Avenue, early Saturday after a lingering illness.
Survivors include one brother Sylvanous Burr, Castalia; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Friends may call at the Frey Funeral Home after noon Monday, where services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. C. J. Renner, officiating.
Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery.
