John C. Block, 52, Soldiers Home resident, World War 1 veteran and Pittsburg native who served with the 136th Field Artillery died Friday night.

Surviving is a brother, William, Youngstown.

The Keller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, that are to be announced later.
