Rosemarie (Johnson) Baker

October 29, 1926 ~ April 1, 2019

Rosemarie "Rose" (Johnson) Baker, 92, of Sandusky, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, April 1, 2019 in Twilight Gardens, Norwalk.

She was born on October 29, 1926 in Bellaire, OH to the late John and Annie (Schmidt) Johnson. After graduating high school Rosemarie worked as a homemaker, working tirelessly to take care of her home and family. She was her husband, Henry's, greatest caregiver in his twilight years.

She loved BINGO, camping, and used to love bowling. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Rosemarie is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Richard Sr.) Wieber, of Connecticut; grandchildren, Richard Wieber Jr., Sean (Annette) Wieber, Christopher Wieber, Michelle Baker, David Baker, Nicole Baker, and Christine Baker; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, John Johnson, of Maine; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Henry L. Baker, on September 7, 2018; son, David Baker; brother, Robert; and sisters, Lillian, Alverta, Anne, and Marge.

p>Friends may call on Thursday, April 4 from 4-7 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
