Charles A. Harding Memorial Bridge. Charles Harding was a fourth generation member of his family to live in Olmsted Falls. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1941 as a private in the Infantry and rose to the rank of Captain in 1943. While serving during World War II, he died of wounds received in action during the battle of Normandy.
