John McConnaughy
Will of John McConnaughy of Union Township, Brown County, Ohio.
Probated 31 March 1840.
Item 1. I first wish for all my funeral expenses and debts be paid.
Item 2. I give to my son, Robert A. McConnaughy the farm on which I now reside in the county aforesaid being part of Alexander Breckenridge's survey and containing one hundred and seventy- three acres.
Item 3. Robert A McConnaughy and his heirs are to pay the following legacies or
sums of money to my rest of my children. First, to my sons, William F.
McConnaughy, Samuel T. McConnaughy, and David McConnaughy
each two hundred and fifty seven dollars to be paid, five years after my decease.
To my son John H. McConnaughy one hundred and forty two dollars five years
after my decease. To my daughters Jane Adams, Sally Sutherland, Margaret
Curtis, and Mary Sutherland, each three hundred and eighty five dollars to be
paid five years after my decease. To my daughter Isabella, fifty five dollars
to be paid each year after my decease for five years, and at the end of five years
after my death seven hundred dollars.
Item 4. Personal property divided as listed.
Sons Robert A and Samuel T. McConnaughy to be appointed executers.
