O'Dell SHOTWELL
submitted by Yolanda Campbell Lifter
O'Dell Shotwell, oldest son of John and Abigail Shotwell, was born August 10, 1859, died April 25, 1918, aged 58 years, 8 months and 15 days. He was married to Martha Inskeep, June 5, 1881. To this union were born three children, Vernon, Ray and Hattie. Two of these still survive, Vernon and Hattie, to mourn their father's death which has so recently followed that of their mother. He also leaves two brothers and one sister, James and Tilford Shotwell and Mrs. Clare Culter and two grandchildren. He united with the M.E. church in youth and has lived an honorable life. He was a good father and neighbor and has left many relatives and friends to do honor to his memory.
