Unionville Cemetery

The Unionville cemetery is in Pershing County, Sec 24 Twp 30N R 34E, at Lat: 40°27'05"N, Lon: 118°06'29"W. It is about 1/2 mile east of Unionville on the main and only street in the town.

This cemetery dates back to the 1870's when Unionville was a mining town but has had recent burials. A marker at the cemetery reads "In memory of all departed brothers of the I.O.O.F. who rest eternally in this hallowed ground".

There are possibly 12 to 15 unmarked graves. Some headstones are made of wood and names and dates are now illegable and cannot be listed. Mr. Kemmerle visited the area and recorded this in 1988 from the tombstone inscription, and it includes all existing markers.
