From Tommy Woodward we have some additional information about the Ketcham family.

Hello.  My name is Tommy Woodward and I am a fifth great-grandson of James Ketcham (1753-1820) of Denville, Morris County, New Jersey, through his son Lewis Ketcham (1782-1855) who married Phebe Hayden (1791-1821).  ...Your site fails to mention him and the email answer I got back when I first pointed this out asked me to list my sources.  I haven't had a chance to do so until now, so here they are:

"James Ketcham, of Hanover, a lunatic (Orphan's Court September 1813).  Petition by Rhoda Ketcham, his wife, Hannah Fairchild, the wife of Freeman Fairchild and Phebe Tuttle, the wife of Jacob Tuttle, his daughters.  James has been incompetent for about eighteen years.  All his children were named with their ages:  Joshua-33, Lewis-(Left Blank but age was 31 years), John-28, Hannah-29, Phebe-24, Charlotte-18, Samuel-16, Nathaniel-14, Abigail-12.  James Randle was a witness at the Jury Hearing, July 12, 1813."  Morris County Heirs To Estates 1785-1900:  New Jersey Morris County Probate Records by Virginia Alleman Brown, copyright date unknown, pp. 57-58. (B:301--a journal entry evidently is given in this source).

Same source, p. 152:  James Ketcham (Orphans Court, September 1938 (sic) [evidently a misprint, the date would be 1838]  deceased, intestate, farmer.  Land located on the Hanover Turnpike adjoining J. Jackson, McFall, John Pierson, William Cooper, et. al., beginning corner of the old Penn line, 39 and 20/100 acres.  Widow, Rhoda, Children and heirs, Joshua Ketchum; Phebe Tuttle, nee Ketchum, wife of Jacob Tuttle who had sold his interests to Sarah Jackson, the petitioner, the wife of Daniel L. Jackson; John Ketchum; Lewis Ketchum; Samuel Ketchum; Hannah Fairchild, nee Ketchum who sold her share to Samuel Ketchum (see page 173 where it is stated that Hannah sold her share to the widow Rhoda Ketchum); Nathaniel Ketchum, deceased, leaving one child a minor; Charlotte Gillman, nee Ketchum, Abigail Ketchum. . . .Dated the 23rd December 1837."

Lewis Ketcham was born on September 2, 1782 in Rockaway, Morris County, New Jersey.  He moved to Pennsylvania around 1802 and married around 1803 Phebe Hayden (1791-1821), daughter of Nathaniel Hayden, Jr., and Abigail Osborn Hayden, and a descendant of Mayflower passengers, John Alden, his future wife Priscilla Mullins, and her parents William and Alice Mullins.  Lewis had six children, all daughters, by his first wife Phebe who died in 1821.  Around 1827 he married Pheobe Johnson (1790-1870) and had another child a daughter.  He had a plantation or homestead of good size in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania and died there on November 2, 1855 at the age of seventy-three.

Please let me know if you will correct the site now that you have creditable sources.  I really enjoy the information posted there, but feel sad that my fifth great-grandfather is unacknowledged.

Sincerely,
Tommy Woodward
