Looking for George TROUT, b. 30 Oct 1729 (where?), d. 05 Aug 1809 Amwell Twp, Hunterdon County, NJ. Possibly the son of Jeremiah TRAUT, a Dunkard,who held 3 acres on a tract near George, mentioned in a quit claim by Nicholas AUSTIN and Sarah his wife, Quakers of Abington, PA. (From 'History of Huntingdon County NJ', p.352.) George married Hannah LEQUEAR, dau. Gerardus and Annetje LEQUEAR of Newtown, NY and Amwell, NJ. George TROUT can also be found in Stryker-Rodda's 'Revolutionary Census of New Jersey', 1972, together with kinsmen and neighbors Joseph LEQUEAR, John BESSON (his son-in-law; have info on this line) and Francis BESSON (John's father). |
