Hunterdon County Query

I know my family or families are or were in Hunterdon Co., as I have some information on them. What I need to prove is that Hosea STOUT, born ca 1725-1740, probably in Hunterdon Co. was a son of Benjamin STOUT, born 1691 in Middleton, N. J and married 1713 in Hunterdon Co., and his wife Hannah BONHAM, born 1695 in Piscataway. Benj died in 1752 and Hannah died 1770, both in Hopewell Township, Hunterdon Co. NJ. Research by various family members has not proven Hosea is a son, but it has been generally accepted that he was. Hosea married_? probably in the 1760's, went to North Carolina, Tenn. and Kentucky, or at least had land in Ky. I do not know where he died, nor when. He is believed to be the father of Philip STOUT, among others, and was in Greene Co. Tenn. very early. Can you help? |
