CASTNER
I have traced my mother's surname, CASTNER, back to New Jersey and Hunterdon County (I think). My early ancestors are Peter CASTNER b. 9-1-1781 and his wife Mary ______ b. 9-26-1780. I know of 3 or 4 of their children and they are: Alexander b. 1810, Mary b. 1813-1818, Jacob b. 1817, and William Harrison CASTNER b. 7-18-1819. In 1820 they all moved to Hamilton County, Ohio. I am trying to find out any information pertaining to the family, such as, where exactly they were from, who the parents of Peter and Mary were, or at least Peter, when and where they were married, etc., etc. I would be most grateful for any related data any of you researchers may have, as well as any tips you could pass on to me concerning New Jersey research. Perhaps I could do some research for you at the Mormon Family History Center that is 30 minutes away from my place here in Phoenix, Arizona, as a tradeoff. Thank you for any help.
