ABLE (AUBLE)
Researching information on ancestors of Andreas ABLE b. 1687(?), d. 1751; m. Mary ABLE d. 1771; father to Michael Auble (ABLE) 17191791; grandfather to Mathias AUBLE (Able) 17591826; ggrandfather to William AUBLE 17851872; gggrandfather to Andrew J. Auble 1835 - 1890. Particularly interested in family history / surname origins pre-1687. Andreas apparently came to the new world with the Palatines -- individuals from a region in a northern region of what is now Germany, known as the Palatinate. He evidently changed the spelling of the name (for his children), to keep its new world pronounciation consistent with the old country's. Andreas and Mary also had 3 other children in addition to Michael. Any information / referrals for early family origins would be appreciated.
