MCDONALD/DILTZ
We are tracing two families that we believe resided in what was Hunterton County at the time. Part of the land might be in Somerset County now. My husband's father's family inherited the Vanderveer farm. It was owned by Ann and William VanFleet. His mother's grandfather was a black smith in Whitehouse Station. His name was James MCDONALD and was married to Caroline DILTZ. I would like to have the names registered. I would like to know where I can start the search for relatives going back to the country of origin. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. I am a novice and the job seems insurmoutable.
