BEAMER
Seeking information on the ancestors of John BEAMER (originally BOHMER), born 1725 in Germany, possibly Heidelberg, died Mar 7, 1795 in Bethlehem Twp., Hunterdon Co., and buried at St. James Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg. On April 9, 1755 he married Mary Elizabeth GLASUER or GLASNER. She was born on Oct 13, 1730 in Germany and died on Oct 13, 1804 in Bethlehem Twp and was buried at St. James Lutheran Church. They had one son, John BEAMER Jr., born Nov 27, 1759. He married Anna Mary YOUNG (originally Jung) on Apr 7, 1782. John and Anna moved with their family to Grimsby, Ontario, Canada in 1790. The DAR have indicated in the cemetery where John Sr. and Elizabeth are buried that he was a soldier in the Revolutionary Army. In addition to learning about the ancestors of these ancestors of mine I would also like to learn more about this involvement in the Revolutionary War.
