FISHER/LARUE
I have a query regarding Tunis FISHER (FISCHER) of the established German pioneer family and his (second) wife, Mary (Marie) LARUE (also of Hunterdon Co., and likely of the Hunterdon Co. and/or New Amsterdam silversmith's families).
Who were their parents, definitively? There are two or three Tunis FISHER's, and many Mary LARUES. They married/baptised 1800-1820, then moved to Darrtown, Butler County Ohio. Their daughter Sarah FISHER married James Laconey CHAMBERS, also of an old New Jersey family newly settled in Butler County (married in 1842). Large families of FISHERS and LARUES make this task difficult, but someone must know the answer.
