1774 Committe of Observation

Dec. 1774 Meeting to form the Committee of Observation for Gloucester County at the Courthouse at Gloucester.
( The courthouse was located on the southwest corner of what today is King and Market Streets in Gloucester City.)
Old Gloucester County was all of present day Gloucester, Camden and Atlantic Counties.
The Committee of Observations would take the place of the local Royal governments.
This includes a list of members from each town in Gloucester County.
This is the original document in the collection of the Gloucester County Historical Society.
