What's New!

April 2024: A new State Coordinator has been elected, and a new ASC appointed.

December 2020 Unfortunately, this page has not been updated in quite some time.  That has been my fault as the State Coordinator.  I served as the National Coordinator (NC) for the entire USGenWeb Project and was so busy that I did not do justice to New Jersey.  I also was and still am not adept at designing sites.  Now that I am no longer the NC, I have begun the process of learning how to work with sites via html.  For many years my own sites have been housed on Google Classic sites.  Coinciding with my moving out of the NC position, I was made aware that Google was going to do away with Google Classic sites.  I tried converting to their New Sites model and hated it.  I am not moving through the process of managing the State site (with the help of a fabulous person in the project that I turn to often for assistance.  Although Jeff Kemp is not an assistant state coordinator, he redesigned the state site and has been maintaining it for mr when needed.  I am now taking that on.  As I have been the State Coordinator for some time, and haven't been able to talk any of our current coordinators into delving into this roll, I am still here.  Having my emal from prior years will enable me to update this page with additional information. This month I have updated the Conference page, Genealogical and Historical Societies page, Projects page, the Research page, the Artifacts page, and the Vital Records page.

Current counties available for adoption:  Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Monmouth, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Sussex.

Recently adopted counties were:  Gloucester, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Warren.

April 2016:  A visitor to our site has advised that numerous links under Research: Military Records are not working.  I will try to get those updated; however, it will be a bit before I can get that done.  I have been dealing with a health situation and a relocation to another state.  Hopefully, during the month of July 2016 I will be able to get this corrected and the rest of the state reviewed for any non-working links.  If you find a link that is not working property, feel free to send me an email to let me know.  Email me
