ERASTUS PAGE KIDDER (Nelson6, James5, James4, James3, John2, James1), born at East Alstead, N.H., 25 May 1840.
He married at East Alstead or Keene, N.H., 27 Aug. 1868, MARTHA JANE RICHARDSON of Alstead, born there, 20 Mar. 1843,
daughter of William and Ruth (Hemingway) Richardson.
He was a manufacturer of wooden rakes, spokes, etc., and proprietor of a sawmill.
He was the inventor of a shingle mill. Residence, East Alstead, N.H.

Children, born at East Alstead:
i. FRANK A., b. 28 or 29 Dec. 1870.
ii. WILLIAM ERASTUS, b. 13 Mar. 1883; d. at Alstead, 14 June 1883.
iii. MYRTIE JANE, b. 7 May 1885.



GEORGE WILDER KIDDER (Nelson6, James5, James4, James3, John2, James1), foreman for Ice Co., of Hyde Park, Dutchess Co., NY, in 1880,
born at East Alstead, N.H., 10 Apr. 1845; died at Staatsburg, NY, Dutchess Co., 16 Dec. 1932. He married at Rhinebeck, NY, 24 Dec. 1873,
JULIA CONTENT RISLEY, born at Staatsburg, NY, 1 July 1848; died there 7 Feb. 1922, daughter of William H. and Permelia (Sleight) Risley.

George Wilder Kidder purchased a half-interest in a machine shop at Alstead, being a member of the firm of Roob & Kidder for two years,
selling out in the fall of 1869. He appeared in 1870 living in Alstead, NH, and removed to Staatsburg, Dutchess County, NY, shortly thereafter.
He was a carpenter; then began dealing in lumber and building material as a member of the firm of Herrick & Kidder, which continued for five years,
or until a fire in April 1875, when the partnership was dissolved. George Kidder for the next ten years employed by the Mutual Benefit Ice Co.,
being weight master in the summer and superintendent on the river during the winter season. In 1887 he bought out the coal business of James Roach,
at Staatsburg, to which he immediately added a stock of lumber and building material, since then he carried on a very successfully business.

MERRILL JAMES KIDDER (James Alexander6, James5, James4, James3, John2, James1), born at Alstead, NH, 4 Feb. 1844; died at Winchendon, Mass.,
7 Nov. 1932. He married at Marlow, NH, 18 Mar. 1869, his cousin, CAROLINE MARY ANNE KIDDER of Alstead, born 26 Apr. 1844; died at Keene,
daughter of Samuel Maynard and Harriet Newell (Atwood) Kidder.
He resided at Alstead, Keene, and Gilsum, all in New Hampshire. By occupation he was a farmer, and was also interested in mining.

i. WILFRED JAMES, b. 3 July 1873.
ii. HERBERT LEWIS, b. 15 Mar. 1878.
