KOCI - Funeral services for John L. Koci, 71, of San Diego, Calif., will be held this morning at 10 o'clock in St Bonaventure Catholic Church. Rev. Jerome Dickes will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    McKown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Koci was born June 7, 1908, near Rogers, the son of John F. and Ludmilla Steffel Koci. He was educated in Schuyler schools and was a farmer.
    On May 1, 1933, he married Melba Agnes Mares in Schuyler. She survives. In 1949 the family moved to Columbus where Koci operated a business.
    Koci was chairman of the fund raising effort for St. Bonaventure School and was an usher in the church for 10 years.
    Koci was aslo active in the Knights of Columbus and served as grand knight for four years. He was a member of St. Bon's Holy Name and Perpetual Adoration societies.
    Koci and his wife moved to California in 1965.
    Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Mari) Myers of San Diego and Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Klauer of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Michael Koci of Tustin; three sisters, Mary Koci of Schuyler, Mrs. Floyd (Agnes) Treblik of Lodgepole and Mrs. Harold (Helen) DeBower of Detroit; one brother, Joseph Koci of Schuyler; and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one sister and one brother.

KRUEGER - Funeral services for Albert Krueger, 77, of Plymouth will be held Wednesday in Plymouth.
    Krueger died Sunday in Beatrice.
    He was the father of Mrs. Dorrene Kunneman of Columbus, Platte County register of deeds.

LEWIS - Graveside services for Maxine J. Lewis, 49, were held at 1:30 p.m. at the City Cemetery in Central City. She died Friday following a lingering illness at the Columbus Manor where she had been residing.
    Rev. Denny Silk conducted the rites.
    She was born Dec. 23, 1930 in Merrick County, Neb., to Henry Martin and Orabelle Cruikshank. She married Robert G. Lewis on Oct. 9, 1949 in Lincoln, and lived there until she became ill. She was a housewife and a member of the Methodist Church in Lincoln.
    She is survived by her husband; two sons, Randy of Kansas City and Mike of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters Kimberly Lewis of Lincoln and Jennifer Lewis of Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Marjorie Rowan of Bourbonnais, Ill.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

BOWE - Mrs. Joe (Wilda) Bowe Sr., 81, formerly of Columbus, died after a long illness Wednesday in Grape Community Hospital, Hamburg, Iowa.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in McKown Funeral HOme with the Rev. D. Lee Grace officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation began earlier today and continues until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
    Mrs. Bowe was born in Silver Creek Dec. 17, 1898, daughter of Benjamin and Lilly Mae Adams Lacey. She married Joe Bowe Sr. in Fullerton July 26, 1913. She lived in Columbus until she moved in with her daughter in Tabor, Iowa, during the past year.
    She is survived by two sons, Joe Bowe Jr. of Columbus and Dave Bowe of Bonn, Germany; a brother, Ralph Lacey of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Lee (Ruth) Safley of Omaha; 16 grandchildren and eight great granchildren [sic].
    She is also survived by four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Whitehill of Tabor, Iowa, Mrs. Brian (Dorothy) Shellbourn of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Warren (Virginia) Kimball of Monrovia, Calif., and Mrs. Marcel (Betty) La Croux of La Verne, Calif.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Lawrence Bowe.

LUEKE - Walter Lueke, 2208 20th St., Columbus, died Monday at his home. He was 83 and had been in ill health for the past 13 years.
    Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church at Shell Creek. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 preceding the church service. Rev. L.E. Mortensen will officiate with burial in the Calvary Cemetery.
    Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday.
    Born Nov. 15, 1896, at Rogers, Neb., he was the son of William and Emma (Grotelueschen) Lueke. He attended rural school and on March 10, 1920, he married Lillie B. Held at St. John's Church at Shell Creek.
    A farmer and trucker, he lived most of his life in the Columbus area and was a member of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Hartman Post 84, a six-year council member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Lillie of Columbus; a son, Milton Lueke of Columbus; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Loseke, Columbus, and Louise Howe of Omaha.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vernetta Hellbusch; a sister, _aura Shindler; four brothers, __bert, Emil, Bill and __rhart.

KAVICH - Phillip Kavich died Monday at his home, 2754 29th Ave., Columbus. He was 77 years of age and had been in ill health for about two years.
    Rabbi Nadolf will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beth El Cemetery in Omaha, 84th and L Streets.
    He was born July 24, 1902 in Columbus, Neb., to Samuel and Tillie Kavich, and attended the Columbus School system. A lifetime resident of Columbus, he was in business with his father in the Kavich Iron and Metal company and the Kavich Furniture Store. He was a former member of the Eagles and a member of the Beth El Synagogue in Omaha.
    Survivors include a son, Lloyd Kavich of Columbus; a daughter, Benita Glover, Gillette, Wyo., five grandchildren; one brother, Abe Kavich of San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters, Rose Leeser, Los Angeles, Calif., Ann Kavich and Jean Klein, both of Columbus; many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; wife in August of 1979; sisters, Elizabeth Bervin of Fairbury, Neb. in February of 1979, and Ida Bordy, a brother Al of Columbus.

BRIDGES - Earl Bridges, 2116 19th St., Columbus, died Saturday at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha at the age of 60.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Paul Rowoldt with burial in the Leigh Cemetery.
    Visiting hours are after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
    He was born April 4, 1919, in Colfax County near Leigh to Louis and Margaret (Mackenstadt) Bridges and attended District 20 School in Colfax County. He married Annie Welch on April 13, 1944 in Columbus and lived south of Leigh until 1955 when he moved to Columbus.
    He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Memorial Fund.
    Survivors include his wife, Annie; a son, Myron of Columbus; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Edgar (Ruth) Wurdeman of Columbus.
    His parents preceded him in death.

BIRKEL - Mrs. Bessie Birkel, 80, of 176 S. Road Heritage House in Columbus passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning at the Columbus Manor.
    Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at St. Isidore Church in Columbus with Fr. Price officiating. Her body will lie in state at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus after 1 p.m. Friday with scripture service at 8:15 p.m. Friday evening. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery.
    Birkel was born Oct. 16, 1899 to Charles and Agnes Mashek at Plasi in Saunders County. She married John Joe Birkel in Ulysses on Aug. 9, 1920.
    She lived in Ulysses and Shelby until moving to Columbus in 1971. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Christian Mothers, and was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
    She is survived by her two sons, Louis and William, one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Oppliger, all of Columbus, twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Helen Sloup, and a brother, James Mashek of Ft. Scott, Kansas.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and by five brothers and four sisters.

BIGGS - D. Michael Biggs, 59, of No. 83 Carriage House Estates, died Thursday afternoon at Columbus Community Hospital. Arrangements are pending with the McKown Funeral Home.

BORDY - Funeral services for Mrs. Sam (Jeanette) Bordy, 83, of Columbus Manor are pending at the Jewish Funeral Home in Omaha.
    Mrs. Bordy died Thursday at the Columbus Community Hospital.
    She is survived by two sons, Dr. Marvin Bordy of Kansas City, Mo., and Phillip Bordy of Louisville, Ky., and seven grandchildren.

LUSCHE - Edward F. Lusche, 83, of 106 North Road, Heritage House, died Friday evening at the Columbus Manor. Funeral plans will be announced later. Arrangements are at the Gass-Haney Funeral Home.

BORDY - Funeral services for Mrs. Sam (Jeanette) Bordy, 83, have been set for 11 a.m. Sunday in the Jewish Funeral Home at 1911 Cuming St. in Omaha. Burial will be at Fisher Farm in Sarpy County.
    Mrs. Bordy died Thursday at Columbus Community Hospital.
    Mrs. Bordy lived in the Silver Creek area from 1919 until moving to Columbus in March of 1978. She lived at Columbus Manor until her death.
    She was a past Worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge, a past chairman of the Columbus Heart Fund drive, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and past secretary of the Silver Creek School Board.
    Memorials can be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
    She is survived by two sons, Dr. Marvin Bordy of Kansas City, Mo., and Phillip Bordy of Louisville, Ky.; and seven grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband.

BIGGS - Duane Michael Biggs, 59, of 83 Carriage House Estates died Thursday at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are at 3:30 Saturday in the McKown Funeral Chapel, Columbus. The Rev. John Mikkelsen will officiate.
    Interment will be in the the [sic] Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Danville, Ill.
    He will lie in state after 10 a.m. Saturday at the McKown Funeral Home.
    He was born Aug. 19, 1920 in Pence, Ind. to S.D. and Sarah Biggs.
    He has lived in Columbus since 1965. He was a sales supervisor in charge of special exhibits and shows at Fleischer Mfg. Co.
    He was a World War II veteran, and belonged to the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
    He is survived by his son, Robert D. Biggs of Irving, Texas, parents S.D. and Sarah Biggs, and a brother, Howard Biggs of Hammond, Ind.

LUSCHE - A memorial service for Edward F. Lusche, 83, of Columbus will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Paul Rowoldt will officiate.
    He died Friday at Columbus Manor. Lusche has donated his body to the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha.
    Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
    Born Dec. 1, 1896, to George and Catherine Distler Lusche northeast of Columbus in Platte County, he was educated in the District 44 School.
    He married Lena Schwank of [sic] June 4, 1919, in the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Columbus.
    The couple farmed until 1935 when they moved to Phoenix, Ariz. They lived there briefly before returning to Columbus.
    Lusche was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
    He is survived by his wife; two sons, LaVern Lusche of Littleton, Colo., and Norris Lusche of Lakewood, Colo.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

JEFFRES - Leo S. Jeffres, 85, of 4018 14th St., died March 12 at the Columbus Manor after a month and a half illness.
    Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at the McKown Funeral Chapel, Columbus with the Rev. Gary Aten in charge. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Grand Island.
    The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Friday at the McKown Funeral Home.
    Jeffres was born Nov. 14, 1894 in Greeley, Neb., the son of Perry and Hattie (Reed) Jeffres and was educated in the Reed School in Greeley, Neb.
    He married Mabel Baker in Grand Island on Jan. 26, 1915 and lived in Greeley, Scotia and Grand Island before living with his son and daughter-in-law for the past two years. Since November, he was a resident of the Columbus Manor.
    He was a Gold Star member of the Eagles and attended the Methodist Church of Grand Island.
    He is survived by his wife, who is a resident of the Columbus Manor; his son Ray Jeffres, Columbus; daughters Mrs. Clarence (Jarnice) Vandwalle, Mrs. Jack (Leone) Rawlings, Longmont, Colo., six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, four brothers and one grand daughter.

BORNEMANN - Funeral services for Emma Bornemann, 92, of Columbus will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pastor M.W. Goldhammer will officiate and burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery.
    Mrs. Bornemann died Thursday at Columbus Manor.
    Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at the Gass-Haney Funeral Home and will continue at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Monday.
    Mrs. Bornemann was born June 16, 1887 at Howells, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Lange Christ. She was educated in country schools and at St. John's Parochial School of rural Howells.
    She married Louis H. Bornemann in Columbus.
    She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, but was baptised and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Howells.
    Survivors include three sisters Mrs. Augusta Blecha of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Lena Thalken of Leigh and Mrs. Matilda Borgstahl of Fairbolt, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.

JARECKI - Funeral services for William Samuel Jarecki, 74, a former Columbus resident living in Hastings, Minn., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Isidore's Catholic Church. Father Michael Gutgsell will officiate and burial will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Duncan.
    Jarecki died Monday in a Hastings nursing home. He had been ill for four years.
    Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday in McKown Funeral Home. There will also be a rosary said at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
    Jarecki was born Sept. 20, 1905, in Duncan, the son of Andrew and Josephine Szymor Jarecki.
    On Jan. 21, 1929, he married Lillian D. Sokol.
    He first lived in the Duncan and Columbus areas where he was a [sic] employed as a car salesman by Nielsen Chevrolet and A.E. Trowbridge Pontaic Co. In the 1950s he moved to Omaha where he worked for Stan Olsen Pontiac and H.P. Smith Ford.
    In 1975 he retired and returned to Columbus. He lived here until September of 1979 when he moved to Minnesota.
    Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Patrick of Longmont, Colo., and Mrs. Jon (Donna) Robb of Cottage Grove, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Ed (Vernie) Sokol and Mrs. Sig (Kathryn) Jaworski, both of Platte Center; one brother, Ray Jarecki of Omaha; 10 granchildren [sic] and three great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

    Miss Valeria J. Kotlar, 94, of 2265 18th Avenue died this morning at the Columbus Manor. Arrangements are pending at McKown Funeral Home with the funeral tentatively scheduled for Thursday morning.

KOTLAR--Miss Valeria J. Kotlar
    Funeral services for Miss Valeria Josephine Kotlar, 94, of 2265 18th Ave. will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Father Flavius Czuba will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Miss Kotlar died Monday after a long illness.
    Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Wednesday in the McKown Funeral Home. Rosaries will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday for the parish and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for the Catholic Daughters of America. Both rosaries will be said in the funeral home.
    She was born Sept. 28, 1885 in Columbus, the daughter of John and Josephine Skorupa Kotlar. She never married and lived in Columbus her entire life.
    Miss Kotlar was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Franciscan Missionary Union. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. John (Belle) Zipper of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

BREZENSKI--Edward J. Brezenski
    Funeral services for Edward J. Brezenski, 59, of 3823 18th St. will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Isidore's Catholic Church. Father Francis Price will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Brezenski died Sunday in a Lincoln hospital following a long illness.
    Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday in McKown Funeral Home.
    Two rosaries will be said: one at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the Knights of Columbus and one at 7:30 p.m Tuesday for the parish. Both will be said in the funeral home.
    Brezenski was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Central City, the son of Walter and Monica Korus Brezenski. He was educated in Merrick County and Nance County schools and graduated from the National Institute of Meat Packing in Chicago in 1968.
    He married Evangeline Staroscik on Aug. 9, 1943, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan.
    Brezenski farmed in Platte and Nance counties until moving to Columbus in 1968. He was a retired machinist for Henke Machine Co.
    He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society.
    Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bernard Brekenski [sic], Leonard Brezenski, Edward Brezenski Jr. and Richard Brezenski, all of Columbus; three daughters, Sheila Brezenski of Columbus, Mrs. Leo (Rose) Rinkol of Columbus and Mrs. Mark (Pat) Ciurej of Shreveport, La.; one brother, Virgil Brezenski of Platte Center; one sister, Mrs. Louis (Theresa) Gembica of Columbus; and 11 grandchildren.
    He was preeded in death by his parents, one niece and one nephew.

LUTHER--Elmer F. Luther
    Funeral services for Elmer F. Luther, 83, of 1322 16th St. will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Gass-Haney Chapel in Columbus. Rev. John Mikkelsen will officiate and burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
    Luther died unexpectedly Tuesday at Columbus Community Hospital.
    Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Gass-Haney Funeral Home.
    He was born Sept. 29, 1896, near Hooper, the son of August F. and Hannah Nelson Luther. He was educated in rural schools near Hooper and lived in that area until moving to Columbus 38 years ago.
    He married Alice Ostrander Nov. 4, 1959, in Columbus.
    Luther was a carpenter and a member of Local 400 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
    Survivors include his wife; seven sisters, Lily Schiferl, Clara Markley, Ella Schultz, Viola Anderson and Fern Bapp, all of Fremont; Floma Schmietenkuap [sic] of Greely [sic], Colo.; and Twila Saalfeld of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Marvin Luther of Fremont and Roy Luther of Des Moines.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera; his parents and a brother.

LOVELL--Donald E. Lovell
    Donald E. Lovell, 57, of 597 9th Ave., Columbus died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He had been ill for five days.
    Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the McKown Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lee Hicks will be presiding. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
    He will lie in state after 1 p.m. Thursday at the McKown Funeral Home.
    Lovell was born Christmas Day 1922 in Utica, Neb., to Charles and Floy (Arindale) Lovell.
    On June 4, 1949 he took as his wife Lorena Ann Gillespie in Schuyler. After his first wife's death in 1970, he married Darlene Drummond on April 14, 1976 in Schuyler. He had lived in Columbus all of his life.
    He was a canal foreman for the Loup Public Power District for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Army T-5 3850 Quarter Master Truck Co. in World War II. Lovell belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
    His survivors are his second wife, Darlene, three sons: Lee, Erin, and Owen, all of Columbus; a daughter Donna Drummond, of Columbus; five step sons: Melvin Jr., Mike, Randy, Eugene, and Kevin Drummond, all of Columbus; three step daughters: Linda Zywiec of Columbus; Brenda Drummond of Columbus and Pam Behrens of Havlock, N.C.; father Charles Lovell of Columbus, sisters Mrs. Leonard (Pauline) Decker and Mrs. Max (Betty) Johnson, both of Columbus; brothers Lyle of Dayton, Ohio, Clair of Denver, Colo., and Dale of Columbus and 11 grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, and first wife.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Eleanor) Bradley, 50, of 18 Stires Lake will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Gass-Haney Chapel. Rev. Lee Hicks will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Thursday at Gass-Haney.

    Graveside funeral services will be held for Michael Jason Beller, the stillborn son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beller of 3315 30th St., at 4:30 p.m. Friday in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    He was stillborn Wednesday at Columbus Community Hospital.
    Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Matthew John Beller and Daniel Joseph Beller, both of the family home; two sets of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Weber of David City and Mr. and Mrs. Casimir Beller of Coliumbus; and three great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weber of Columbus and Mrs. William Esch of Utica.

    Ernst L. Loseke, 73, of 2922 23rd St., died Friday in Columbus Community Hospital. He was a retired farmer and insurance agent.

    Native of Platte County, he was born June 19, 1906 to Louis C. and Magdalena (Hoerle) Loseke. He married Klara Ahlers on Feb. 8, 1928 in Antelope County where he farmed northwest of Clearwater. Later they lived at Platte Center, Columbus and Florida. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
    Survivors are his wife and the following children: Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Waldon of League City, Tex.; Mrs. A. Charles (Betty) Gordon of Lincoln; Mrs. Dwayne (Kathleen) Mueller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; LeRoy O. of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; Larry L. of Platte Center; Clifford of Columbus.
    Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Bernard (Marie) Trease of Clearwater, Edna and Ervin Schreiber of Norfolk; Walter of Scottsbluff; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mrs. C.R. (Elsie) Ahlers; brother, Louis; five grandchildren.

LUTT--Woodrow J. Lutt
    Funeral services for Woodrow J. Lutt, 66, of 4702 60th St. will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel. Rev. Lee Hicks will officiate and brial [sic] will be in a Norfolk cemetery.
    Lutt died unexpectedly Wednesday at Columbus Community Hospital.
    Visitation will begin after 4 p.m. today and continue until noon Friday at the funeral home.
    Lutt was born May 12, 1913, at Wayne, the daughter [sic] of Otto and Anna Nelson Lutt. He attended school in Wayne and graduated from the Grand Island Business College.
    He married Virginia Wright Dec. 1, 1938, in Scottsbluff.
    He lived in Columbus for the last 30 years. Prior to that he lived in Scottsbluff, Chadron and Sidney.
    Lutt was a retired director of administration for the Nebraska Public Power District.
    He was a charter member past president and life member of the Sertoma Club and belonged to the Elks Country Club and the Federated Church.
    The family suggests memorials be sent to the Heart Fund.
    Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Richard Schmid of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Rick Schmid and Vicki Schmid both of Norfolk; two brothers, Less Lutt and Don Lutt, both of Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Dick (Delores) Wacker and Mrs. Willard (Joy) Blecke, both of Wayne.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.

BRADLEY--Eleanor Bradley
    Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Eleanor) Bradley, 50, of 18 Stires Lake will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Gass-Haney Chapel. Rev. Lee Hicks will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Mrs. Bradley died Wednesday at Columbus Community Hospital.
    Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
    She was born Jan. 17, 1930, in Schuyler, the daughter of Frank and Anna Grolich Sulc. She was educated in Schuyler and attended the University of Nebraska.
    She married Paul F. Bradley Jan. 5, 1959, in Schuyler and had lived in Columbus since the marriage.
    Mrs. Bradley was a long-time member of the Leaf and Petal Garden Club, and had hobbies of china painting and flower gardening.
    The family is suggesting memorials be sent to the Elks Crippled Childrens Foundation.
    She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mary K. Bradley of Columbus; one son, Bruce Paul Bradley of Columbus; her mother of Clarkson; and nieces and nephews.

    She died Sunday at her home. She was a public accountant and owner of Jeffrey Accounting in Columbus.

    Eleanor Jeffrey was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Womens' Division of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and the Soroptimist Club.

    Robyn Larson, 17, a victim of the tornados in Grand Island Tuesday night, will be buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Columbus, on Saturday.

    Carl Adolf Loseke, 83, of 2709 18th St. died Friday afternoon in Columbus Community Hospital.

    Loseke was born July 21, 1896 in Platte County. He was the son of Louis and Helene (Grotelueschen) Loseke. He was married to Elizabeth Schafer on Feb. 24, 1929 in Tobias. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired farmer.
    Loseke was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
    survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Cordula) Johannes, Mrs. Howard (Anita) Olson, Columbus and Mrs. David (Greta) Kovar, Lakewood, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Anna) Morlok, Mrs. Peter (Minnie) Moje, Mrs. Harold (Lorna) Schwartz, five brothers, Leonard, Paul, Harold, Albert and Eldon all of Columbus; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

BOSS--Richard C. Boss - Duncan resident Richard C. Boss, 52, died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Otte officiating.
    His body will lie in state Tuesday after 2 p.m. at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and burial with military graveside services will be in the Jackson Cemetery in Duncan.
    He was born August 31, 1927 in Silver Creek to Louis Sr. and Rose (Kummer) Boss. He was educated at Merrick County School Dist. 10 and in Silver Creek schools. He farmed near Duncan with his brother-in-law Nick J. Blaser and newphew [sic] Eldon Blaser.
    He was a life member of American Legion Post 263 in Silver Creek and V.F.W. Post 3704 in Columbus. He served in the military from 1946 until 1948 as a surgical technician in a hospital in Pieping, China. He was awarded the Army, Navy and Air Force Medal from the Chinese government and the World War II Victory Medal.
    He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nick (Lottie) Blaser of Duncan, a brother, Louis W. of Columbus, four neices [sic], one nephew and four grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie in 1912, his mother in 1933 and his father in 1972.

    Mrs. Buller was born March 2, 1891 in Garland. She was the daughter of Lars and Albertine (Hansen) Gunderson. She was educated in Bellwood and York and was married to Henry W. Buller on Sept. 9, 1909 in Fremont. They lived in Bellwood, Spencer and Fremont before moving to Columbus in 1924.
    Mrs. Buller was a member of the Christian Mothers and Franciscan Missionary Union and a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. LaRoy (Marjorie) Campbell, Lincoln; one grandson, Lorn Mark Campbell, Lincoln and several nieces and nephews.

    Katherine Kolbush was born in Posen, Poland on Nov. 5, 1885 to George and Rose (Marszalek) Walkowiak. She was married to Stanley Kolbush on Oct. 16, 1906 in Elba. They iived in Omaha for eight years before moving to Scotia. They lived in Scotia until 1936 when they moved to Columbus.
    Mrs. Kolbush was president of Father Flanagan's Mother's Club for 17 years. She was a member of St. Anne's Alter Society and the Franciscan Missionary Union at St. [remainder not copied]

    A lifetime Columbus resident, Irma Kramer, died Friday in Norfolk Hospital at the age of 84.

Mrs. Kramer was born Nov. 20, 1895 in Columbus to Mr. and Mrs. L.F. Gottschalk. She was a graduate of Columbus High School and Ferry Hall College in Lake Forest, Ill. She was married to Harold Kramer and was a member of Grace Episcopal church.

    Mrs. Kinder had lived in Columbus since 1913.
    She is a member of Harmony Chapter 13, Order of Eastern Star and the First United Methodist church.
    She is survived by nieces and nephews.

    He was a World War I U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Hartman Post 84 of the American Legion, Laurel Lodge 248, AF and AM, American Association of Retired Persons and the Federated Church.
    He is survived by his widow, a sister, Mabel Armstrong of New Castle and four nieces and nephews.

    Mr. Braun was born in St. Mary's Hospital in Humphrey Oct. 1, 1914, son of John and Margaret Bach Braun. He attended St. Mary's School in Humphrey. He married Alice A. Dohmen in Lindsay Nov. 28, 1939.
    He was a retired custodian at Specer [sic] Foods, Inc. He was a member of St. Anthony and St. Mary's Holy Name Churches.
    He is survived by his widow; two [sic] sons, Don, John, Rick and Melvin Braun of Columbus and Jerry Braun of Lexington and four daughters, Mrs. John (Elaine) Reuss of Grand Island, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Norman of Lincoln, Judy Braun of Los Altos, Calif., and Mrs. Pat (Mary Lee) Kluever of the Phillipine Islands.
    He is also survived by two brothers, Cyril Braun of Columbus and Ted Braun of Rock Island, Ill.; three sisters, Jean Chohon of Humphrey, Mrs. Chris (Ann) Dohmen of Grand Island and Mrs. Lyle (Tillie) Haidley of El Cojon, Calif., and 13 grandchildren.

    Bierman was born in Lindsay Dec. 3, 1894, son of William and Theresa Herr Bierman. He attended St. Bernard Parochial Shocol. He married Clara Schaefer in St. Bernard May 24, 1919.
    He farmed in the St. Bernard and Lindsay areas until he retired in 1955 and moved to Columbus where he was a carpenter until retiring. He was a member of Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and Third Order.
    He is survived by his widow; three sons, Willard and Gene Bierman of Columbus and Cyril Bierman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and four daughters, Mrs. Fritz (Imelda) Laeffler of Columbus, Mrs. Walter (Delores) Albracht of Lindsay, Mrs. Ben (Bernice) Syplo of Fullerton and Mrs. Joe (Elaine) Konwinski of Silver Creek.
    He is also survived by a brother Henry Bierman of Detroit, Mich.; 36 grandchildren and 24 great granchildren [sic].

    Roy G. Jeffers, 59, 2902 23rd St., died Wednesday at Columbus Community Hospital.

    Jeffers, the son of Roy G. and Lana A. (Kunz) Jeffers, was born in Lincoln March 13, 1921. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in education in 1946 and a Master's degree in education in 1959.
    Jeffers had been a social studies instructor at Columbus High School for the past 26 years. He previously taught in out-state Nebraska and at Rock Valley, Iowa. Jeffers was active in promoting the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Governor's Prayer Breakfast.
    He served in the Air Force in the South Pacific during World War Two from 1943 until 1945. He was recipient of battle stars, the President's Unit Citation and Philippine Liberation Victory medals.

    Kuta, son of Frank J. Kuta Sr. and Veronica R. (Kush) Kuta, was born June 10, 1917 in Osceola. His wife is the former Agnes Kosinski. Kuta was self-employed in the construction business. An Army veteran of World War Two, he served in Europe as a private in the 45th Tank Battalion. Kuta received two campaign stars.
    He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Eagles Lodge. He also was a member of St. Anthony Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Agnes; two sons, Larry, Columbus, and Richard, Sioux City; his mother, Mrs. Veronica Kuta, Columbus; brothers, Lonnie, Marvin and Edward, all of Columbus, and Earl, Sheridan, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. Dean (Jean) Egger, Omaha.
    He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Frank Jr. and Alfred.

    Andrew Bruns, 61, of Columbus died Thursday at Lincoln Veterans Hospital.

    A a [sic] veteran of World War Two, he was a private in the 561st Field Artillery in Germany, France and Belgium and recipient of five campaign stars.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Janice Harris, Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Bruns, Columbus; one grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Ed (Lorene) Allison and Mrs. Marie Muhle, both of Columbus; a brother, Clarence Bruns, Columbus.
    He was preceded in death by his father and wife.

    Among survivors of Ray J. Kuta Columbus are nine grandchildren. Kuta died Monday at the Lincoln Veterans Hospital.

JANNEY--Mary Janney
    Mary Janney, 81, of 2756 29th Ave., died Friday in Columbus Community Hospital.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fusselman-Perry Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, with the Rev. Dr. Alva Clark officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
    Mrs. Janney was born in Plattsmouth Sept. 11, 1899, daughter of Albert and Matilda Vernard Wetenkamp. She married Everett Roy Janney on a farm near Mynard Sept. 26, 1925.
    She lived in Plattsmouth until 1936, when she moved to Norfolk. She later to [sic] moved to Hastings in 1948 and Omaha in 1950. She moved to Columbus in 1976. She was a member of the Norfolk chapter of Order of the Eastern Star and First United Methodist Church, Columbus.
    She is survived by a son, Robert Janney of Columbus; a brother, Glenn Wetenkamp of Plattsouth; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969 and two brothers, Elmer and Art Wetenkamp.

BOWE--Mrs. Joe Bowe Sr.
    Mrs. Joe (Wilda) Bowe Sr., 81, formerly of Columbus, died after a long illness Wednesday in Grape Community Hospital, Hamburg, Iowa.
    Services will be at 10 a.m Saturday in McKown Funeral Home with the Rev. D. Lee Grace officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation began earlier today and continues until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
    Mrs. Bowe was born in Silver Creek Dec. 17, 1898, daughter of Benjamin and Lilly Mae Adams Lacey. She married Joe Bowe Sr. in Fullerton July 26, 1913. She lived in Columbus until she moved in with her daughter in Tabor, Iowa, during the past year.
    She is survived by two sons, Joe Bowe Jr. of Columbus and Dave Bowe of Bonn, Germany; a brother, Ralph Lacey of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Lee (Ruth) Safley of Omaha; 16 grandchildren and eight great granchildren [sic].
    She is also survived by four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Whitehill of Tabor, Iowa, Mrs. Brian (Dorothy) Shellbourn of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Warren (Virginia) Kimball of Monrovia, Calif., and Mrs. Marcel (Betty) La Croux of La Verne, Calif.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Lawrence Bowe.

BEHLEN--Mrs. Harvey Behlen
    Mrs. Harvey (Crystal) Behlen, 60, Route 3, Columbus, died Tuesday at Columbus Community Hospital.
    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Columbus. Burial will be in Shell Creek Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Thursday until Friday noon at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
    Mrs. Behlen, daughter of William and Susie (Moran) Claussen, was born June 15, 1920 in Creston. A 1938 graduate of Creston High School, she was married to Harvey Behlen Feb. 12, 1941 at Shell Creek Baptist Church.
    Mrs. Behlen, a lifetime resident of the area, served as Sunday School teacher and pianist at Shell Creek Baptist Church and was a member of Ladies Mission Society.
    Survivors include her husband, Harvey, Columbus; son, Willard, Columbus; daughter, Nancy Klug, Omaha; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Severin, Leigh; Mrs. Roland (Phyllis) Ruiz, Dallas; and a brother, Willard Claussen, Grand Island.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.

KOSIBA--Anthony M. Kosiba
    Anthony M. (Bunny) Kosiba, 62, of 2815 6th St., died unexpectedly Sunday in Columbus Community Hospital.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Laurin Buzynski officiating. Burial and military services will be St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Duncan. Visitation is now with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. in McKown Funeral Home.
    Kosiba was born in Duncan May 9, 1918, son of Stanley and Agnes Koziol Kosiba. He attended St. Stanislaus School, Duncan. He married Genevieve Swierczek in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Duncan, Nov. 4, 1941.
    He was employed at Columbus Drive-In Theatre and lived in Columbus most of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World Was II as a sergeant.
    He is survived by his wife; four brothers, Frank and Leo Kosiba of Columbus, Dick Kosiba of Duncan and Joe Kosiba of Leland, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Alois (Barbara) Chochon of Columbus and Josie Rosno and Helen Tworek, both of Genoa, and serveral nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Agnes Ann on Jan. 27, 1964, two brothers and two sisters.
