LUCKEY - Charles Luckey, 86, died Wednesday afternoon in the Columbus Manor.
His funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel with Rev. L.E. Mortensen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 11 miles northeast of Columbus. The body will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A farmer and lifetime resident of this community, Mr. Luckey was born May 11, 1891 to Fred and Mary (Engel) Luckey.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, and attended District 44 School and Columbus Business College.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Herman (Louise) Meyer and brother, Emil F. Luckey, both of Columbus; also a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Louis C.LISS - Mrs. Reynold (Lucille Helen) Liss, 50, of Rt. 4, Columbus, died Wednesday in the Columbus Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Duncan, with Rev. Joseph Miksch officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Mrs. Liss will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Chapel, where rosary services are scheduled at 8 and 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Daughter of Charles ad Cecelia (Starzec) Kush, she was born Aug. 27, 1927, at Tarnov. She married Reynold S. Liss at St. Bonaventure Church, June 28, 1950, and had since resided in rural Columbus. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan.
Surviving are her husband; seven children, Mrs. Andrew (Cecelia) Nielsen of Gayville, S.D., Stan of Fort Collins, Colo., Jerry, Theresa, Mrs. Lawrence (Rose) Pallas, Rey Jr. and Andrea, all of Columbus; two grandchildren, Christina Pallas and Aaron Nielsen; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kush of Columbus; sister, Mrs. Anthony (Rose) Santopietro of Lakewood, Colo. An infant brother, Rudolph preceded her in death.

JOHNSON - Margaret M. Johnson, 86, formerly of Lincoln, died Friday in the Columbus Manor.
She was the mother of former Columbus resident, Mrs. Jean Sokol, Aurora, Colo. Also surviving are two sons; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Metcalf Funeral Home, Lincoln, with burial in Lincoln Memorial Park. Gass-Haney Funeral Home handled local arrangements.

LOGSTON - Charles Logston, 77, Heriatge [sic] House, died unexpectedly Sunday at the Columbus Hospital.
His body lies in state until 9 p.m. today, then will be transferred to Nelson-Mitchell Funeral Chapel in Oxford for 2 p.m. Wednesday services at the Oxford Baptist Church and burial in the Oxford Cemetery.
Mr. Logston, who was retired, had lived in Columbus the last 10 years. He formerly resided in Oxford and York.
Son of James P. and Emma Leona Logston, he was born Feb. 12, 1900 at Oxford.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Derby, whom he married June 12, 1952 in Benton, Ark.; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Logenburg of Hastings, Mrs. Clifford (Doris) Nelson of Oxford, Mrs. George (Eunice) Jauhen of Fort Collins, Colo., Mrs. Bruce (Irene) Johnson of Long Beach, Calif.; son, Leonard of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie Eliza (Cress) Logston; two infant children; parents; three brothers and two sisters.

KLUTMAN - Walter J. Klutman, 2420 22nd Street, died Friday in the Columbus Hospital after an extended illness. He was 59.
Funeral rites will be conducted by Rev. H.M. Rathkamp, 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Klutman will lie in state at McKown Funeral Chapel from 1 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday, then at church from 1 to 2 p.m.
A resident of Columbus since 1950, Mr. Klutman was an insurance salesman for State Farm Insurance Company.
He was born Sept. 24, 1918 in Homfeld Germany, son of Reinhold and Gertrude Klutman. Guaduate of Rock Rapids High School in Iowa, he received a BS degree from the University of Nebraska in 1948.
During World War II he served in the Army, 1940-45, with overseas duth [sic] in France, and attained the rank of second lieutenant. In later years he was commander of the Columbus disabled American Veterans, quartermaster of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and member of the American Legion.
Also during his active years, he served as president and treasurer of the Columbus High Coaches Club; committee member of the Boy Scouts, committeeman of the Columbus Little League; member of Trinity Lutheran Church council and finance recorder; president of Trinity Lutheran Brotherhood.
Mr. Klutman married Margery C. Engel Nov. 26, 1943 in Sioux Falls, S.D. and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Debbie) Kathka of Broken Bow; three sons, Dr. Ronald W. and Steven of Columbus, Neil of Vermillion, S.D.; three grandsons; brother, Reinhold of Osmond; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Wilke of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Clara Schroeder of Inwood, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Kroger of Sioux Falls, S.D.
He was preceded in death by infant twin sons; his parents; brother, Nick; sisters, Anna Guyan and Mrs. Elsie Meiburg.

Mr. Liskovec, 62, died Tuesday in the Columbus Hospital after a short illness.
Son of Frank and Pauline (Andel) Liskovec, he was born Feb. 6, 1915 at Bruno and attended Butler County schools. He married Lida Saline at Osceola Sept. 16, 1947.
Formerly a farmer, he moved to Columbus in 1957 and was employed at Behlen Manufacturing Co. for 18 years. He was a member of St. ____. [remainder not copied]

BOSWELL - Funeral rites for Mrs. Jess (Isabelle) Boswell, 2122 3rd Street, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McKown Funeral Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. John Mikkelsen will officiate.
Mrs. Boswell, now lying in state at the funeral home, died Wednesday night in the Columbus Hospital at the age of 82.
Lifelong resident of Columbus, she was born Aug. 12, 1895 to John David and Kathryn (Dietz) Warnick. She married Jess Boswell May 13, 1916 in Columbus; he died Aug. 23, 1959.
She is survived by two sons, Adam and Duane; two grandchildren, David and Cindy Boswell; three sisters, Rose Warnick, Mrs. Florence Livingston, Mrs. Felix (Esther) Kieltyka; one brother, Harry Warnick, all of Columbus. Two brothers, Adam and Walter and a sister, Ethyl Boswell preceded her in death.

JUSTUS - Mrs. Mary Justus, 87, formerly of 2221 10th Street, died Friday in Denver. She was the widow of Frank Justus, who died four years ago.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Episcopal Church, Columbus, of which she was a lifetime member. Private burial is planned in Columbus Cemetery.
The only child of George and Eleanore Fairchild, she was born in Columbus Jan. 23, 1891 and educated in the local schools. She married Frank Justus in April, 1915.
Mrs. Justus moved to Denver three years ago to live with her daughter, Eleanor Hoen. Also surviving are a son, George of Grand Island; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

BLOCKER - Funeral rites for Mrs. Harold (Irene) Blocker, 74, of 2153 30th Avenue, will be conducted by Rev. Lee Hicks at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel. She lies in state there today and will be buried in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Blocker, who died Wednesday in the Columbus Hospital, lived in Minneapolis before moving to Columbus in 1970. She was a member of the Federated Church and Daughters of the Nile.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Lund, she was born Nov. 6, 1903 in Green City, Mo., and attended school in College Springs, Mo.
On Nov. 25, 1921 in Clarinda, Iowa, she married Harold K. Blocker, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jack of Columbus; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers and one sister. One brother and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.

KEEFER - Chris P. Keefer, 80, resident of Morys Haven died Monday afternoon in Columbus Hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McKown funeral chapel with Rev. John Mikkelsen officiating. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery. The body lies in state today.
Lifelong resident of Columbus, Mr. Keefer was a former plumber's helper and laborer. He was born Jan. 31, 1898 to William and Christine (Nauenburg) Keefer.
Never married, he is survived by 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman T. and Bill, and sister Mrs. G.R. (Tillie) Kershaw.

LUEKE - Saturday 1:45 p.m. family prayer service and 2 p.m. funeral rites are scheduled at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, for Albert Lueke, 3203 13th Street. He died Wednesday evening in the Columbus Hospital at the age of 86.
Pastor L.E. Mortensen will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation continues at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel until noon Saturday, then at church from 1 to 2 p.m.
Mr. Lueke was born March 30, 1891 in Colfax County, son of William and Emma (Grotelueschen) Lueke. He attended Colfax rural and Schuyler schools.
On March 20, 1918 he married Minnie Schreiber at St. John Church, Shell Creek, where he was also baptized, confirmed and remained a lifelong member. The Luekes farmed in Colfax and Platte Counties until moving to Columbus in 1948. He was a taxicab driver for a time.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Viola) Leimser; three grandchildren, Mrs. Arlyn (Sharon) Johannes, Mrs. Merle (Joyce) Johannes, Ron Leimser; one great-grandchild, Jeff Johannes; one brother, Walter, all of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Gus (Minnie) Loseke of Columbus and Mrs. John Howe of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Emil, William and Gerhart; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Laura) Schindler.

JURACEK - Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at St. Mary Catholic Church, David City, for Benjamin Juracek, 67, who died Feb. 24 in the Columbus hospital following a heart attack.
Officiating were Msgr. A.J. Lisko and Rev. Henry Schorn, Albion. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Columbus.
Mr. Juracek was a businessman in Cedar Rapids and Albion from 1945 until moving to David City in 1971. Since then he was semi-retired. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Born July 28, 1910 in Granite City, Ill., he was the son of John and Mary (Kanjak) Juracek. On March 10, 1937 he married Grace Marie Clasey, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stan (Carol Jean) Syslo of Platte Center; son, Ronald L. of Albion; brother, Rudie of Norfolk; sisters, Mrs. Henry (Ann) Meinke of Norfolk, Mrs. Edward (Irene) Cernousek of Page; three grandchildren.LAMMERT - Lifetime resident of this area, Ida Lammert, 1153 41st Street, died Sunday evenng in the Columbus Hospital. She was 92.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. M.W. Goldhammer officiating. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery. Her body lies in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home through this evening; also, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at church.
Daughter of Fritz and Sophia (Wilke) Lammert, she was born Jan. 21, 1886 in Platte County; educated in Platte and Colfax schools; baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek; later a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Several cousins survive. Her brothers, Emil and Ed preceded her in death.

BURKE - Mrs. Jennie Burke, Stormburg's oldest resident, died Wednesday in Annie Jeffrey Hospital, Osceola. She recently observed her 100th birthday.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, Stromsburg, with Rev. G.M. Christensen officiating and burial in Stromsburg Cemetery. Visitation at Anderson Funeral Chapel, Stromsburg, 3-5 and 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Burke, nee Johnson, was born Feb. 28, 1878 at Rankin, Ill., and came to Polk County with her parents at the age of two, residing east of Stromsburg most of her life. She married Ed Burke Dec. 30, 1896. After his death in 1967 she continued to live on the farm until 1974 when she moved to Midwest Covenant Home.
She was an honorary member of the Polk County Historical Society.
Surviving are her son, Earl, and daughter-in-law, Alice of Stromsburg; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Cheryl, who was a nursing student at Platte College, died Thursday in University Hospital, Omaha, of injuries suffered in a two-car collision March 10 south of Columbus.
Daughter of Daniel and Marilyn (Sargent) Kobza, she was born May 17, 1959 in David City and was a 1977 graduate of David City High School.
Surviving are her parents; brother, Daniel Lee; sisters, Lisa, Bonnie, Amy and Gina; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sargent and Mrs. Marie Kobza, all of David City.

Kelly, victim of an auto accident last week in Butler County, was born Oct. 14, 1960 in Omaha. Since she was two she lived in Columbus, attending St. Isidore Grade School, Scotus Junior High and Columbus Senior High. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Parish.
Surviving are her parents, John and Sandra (Knox) Kaminski; brothers, Kevin and Kourtney, sisters, Kim, Kristine and Katrina, all at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knox of Columbus, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kaminski of Omaha.

BECHER - Formerly of Columbus, Ray Becher, Brookfield, Ill., was injured in a car accident in Chicago Wednesday evening and died Thursday evening in a Chicago hospital. He was 54.
Funeral services are scheduled there Monday.
Son of Dick and Emma (Meinke) Becher, Ray was born Nov. 4, 1923, north of Columbus. A 1941 graduate of Columbus High School, he saw military service during World War II and was stationed on Okinawa for a year and a half.
He married Margurite Lorenzen of Dolton, Ill., Nov. 9, 1946.
Survivors include his wife; son, Stuart of Brookfield, Ill.; daughter, Mrs. Joel Glenn of Bolingbrook, Ill.; sister, Lillie Becher of Columbus; brother, Hugo of Grand Island. His parents preceded him in death.

BIDEAUX - Mrs. Alex H. (Nellie) Bideaux, 83, lifetime Schuyler resident, died Sunday in Schuyler Memorial Hospital.
Wednesday a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at Kucera-Rozanek Funeral Chapel will precede 10 a.m. Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church, both in Schuyler. Rev. John P. Downey will officiate; burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary services at the funeral home are 3 p.m. today, Study Club; 8 p.m., parish; 8:30 p.m., Knights of Columbus.
Mrs. Bideaux was born Oct. 28, 1894 at Richland, daughter of Jeremiah and Catherine (Sullivan) Grady. She attended Midland College, Fremont, and St. Catherine School of Nursing, Omaha.
Married to Alex H. Bideaux in Omaha Aug. 23, 1926, she was associated with her husband in the funeral business in Schuyler from 1928 until they retired in 1960. She was a member of the Nebraska Funeral Directors Assn. and past president of Little Flower Altar Sodality.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mart (Virginia) Healy of Rogers, Mrs. James (Caroline) Jonas of Lincoln, Barbara of Omaha; one son, Alex L. of Schuyler; one sister, Mrs. Art (Mary) Pollard of North Bend; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nov. 15, 1965; five brothers and four sisters.

Lifelong resident of this community, she was born July 21, 1910 in Columbus and attended St. Francis Academy. Her parents were Charles and Anna (Wilken) Madura.
On Oct. 22, 1927 she married Jess Beierle, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Don, at home, and Jack of Enid, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Marge) Miller of Albany, Ore., Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Miller of Lebanon, Ore., Mrs. Gilbert (Betty) Janssen of Platte Center; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

KRUMLAND - A former Columbus resident, Walter Krumland, E-13216 15th Avenue, Spokane, Wash., died Wednesday at the age of 78. Funeral services will be held in Spokane Friday afternoon.
Mr. Krumland is survived by his wife, Anetta (nee Nauenburg); son, Richard of Spokane; daughter, Mrs. Darol (Lois) Baumgartner of Cheney, Wash.; four grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Julius Wollberg of Columbus; brothers, Louis of Monroe and Arthur of Los Angeles.

Lifelong resident of Platte County, Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 8, 1894 to Thomas H. and Mary (Fleming) Johnson. He attended rural school, St. Francis Academy and Spalding Academy.
During World War I he served as a private in the Student Army Training Corps. He was a member of the American Legion, Hartman Post 84.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha Ebner, whom he married Jan. 23, 1923 in Platte Center; four children, Mrs. Jack (Phyllis) Moore, Myron and Dwayne Johnson, all of Columbus, Mrs. Al (Mary Ann) Micek of Hastings; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Edward of Columbus, Frank of Pueblo, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Sam (Lillian) Kluck of St. Louis, Mrs. Harry (Agnes) Gunderman of Atlantic, Iowa, Mrs. Romeo (Grace) Riley of Minneapolis, Minn.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Grace Ann Moore; brothers, John, Art, Hugh, Mike and Joe; sisters, Nell and Mary.

Mr. Janssen, who died Wednesday at home, 111 1/2 North Parkway, will lie in state at McKown Funeral Chapel from 1 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday, then at church from 1 to 2 p.m.
Born Oct. 6, 1891 in Germany, Mr. Janssen married Minnie Kamm on Oct. 20, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa. They lived at Platte Center and Columbus. A former truck driver and employe of Beatrice Foods Company, he was a member of St. Luke Church.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs. Ron (Beverly) Wells of Fayetteville, Ark.; four sons, Victor A. of Vancouver, Wash., Leon D. of Omaha, Gary L. and Gayle A. of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nick (Lena) Kamm and Mrs. Ann Olson of Columbus; brother, Henry Borchers of Minden. One brother preceded him in death.

KREBS - A former Columbus resident, Mrs. Tom (Elise) Krebs, 77, of Denver, Colo. died Friday in a Denver Hospital after being hospitalized the last tow weeks.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home with the Rev. John McGee officiating. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery.
Mrs. Krebs was born Feb. 24, 1901 on a farm seven miles north of Columbus on Shell Creek to John Diedrich and Anna (Schmidt) Lueschen, who came here from Oldenburg, Germany in 1887. Oct 26, 1935 she married Tom Krebs in Topeka, Kan. A member of St. Luke United Church of Christ, she lived in Columbus until the death of her husband, April 26, 1971, when she moved to Denver.

Mr. Kleffner was born March 22, 1910 in Cedar Rapids to Frank and Justina Kleffner. The Cedar Rapids area farmer was married to Frances Jarosz and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by sons, John and Charles of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Mrs. Albert (Maureen) Brouillard of Omaha, Mrs. Paul (Anna Lee) Parker of Greenwich, N.Y. and Mrs. Dave (Connie) Langan of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Alois and Henry of Cedar Rapids; sister, Mrs. Ben (Rose) Buechter of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Elizabeth Buechter and Mrs. Ann Condreay of Columbus; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

KRINGS - Miss Hanna Theresa Krings, 95, of 1654 18th Avenue, died Sunday evening in Morys Haven. She was a lifelong resident of Platte County.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with Rev. Regis Watts officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Miss Krings was born Oct. 3, 1882 in the St. Anthony community near Platte Center, where she lived until moving to Columbus. Her parents were Emil and Johanna (Rudisher) Krings.
In Columbus she was a member of St. Bonaventure Parish, Lay Order of St. Francis, Franciscan Missionary Union and Christian Mothers.
Surviving are her brother, Frank of Platte Center and niece, Mrs. Ed (Marie) Torczon of Omaha. One brother, Herman preceded her in death.

KUTA - Charles G. Kuta, 2920 12th Street, died Monday in Bergan-Mercy Hospital, Omaha, at the age of 84.
Funeral rites will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Scripture service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Lifelong resident of Platte County, Mr. Kuta was born Sept 30, 1893 at Platte Center, son of John and Katherinne [sic] (Podraza) Kuta.
Educated at Platte Center, he was a World War I veteran, entering military service June 27, 1918, and serving with the A.E.F. in France at Hospital Base 81. He was discharged June 23, 1919 at Camp Dodge, Iowa.
Mr. Kuta farmed northwest of Columbus until retiring to Columbus, then was employed at Platte County Agricultural Park for eight years. He and Antonia E. Murray were married Feb. 7, 1923 at St. Bonaventure Church and observed their 55th wedding anniversary this year.
She survives, along with six children, Mrs. Jerry (Irene) Rodebaugh and Charles P., both of Farmington Hills, Mich.; Mrs. Jerome (Virgina) Kudron, Louis (Bud), Mrs. Edward (Betty) Zywiec and Mrs. Daniel (Alice) Tschantre, all of Columbus; 33 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. L.E. (Mary) Johnson of Cambridge Springs, PA.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Evelyn Baser; brothers, Frank, Joe, John W. and Andrew; two grandchildren.

LANGE - A former Columbus youth, Rodney Lange, 15, Overland Park, Kan., died Thursday afternoon of a head injury sustained in a freak baseball accident June 21. He had been in a coma since the mishap, which occurred during league play.
Rodney was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lange, 10514 West 90th, Overland Park, Kan., 66214, and is also survived by brothers, Jim, Michael and sister, Lori, all at home, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Russell, Osceola.
Before moving from Columbus about three years ago, Rodney attended North Park School.
Funeral services will be Saturday in Kansas.

JAWORSKI - Raymond E. Jaworski, 1262 1/2 27th Avenue, died Monday in the Lincoln Veterans Hospital after a lingering two year illness. He was 57.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the McKown Funeral Chapel with Rev. D. Lee Grace officiating. Burial with military services will be in the Columbus Cemetery. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home.
He was born May 24, 1921 in Columbus to Emil and Lena (Ewert) Jaworski and attended Kramer High School. He lived all his live [sic] in Columbus where he worked construction, at Habco and then Becton Dickenson. He fought in World War II in the U.S. Army from Dec. 23, 1940 to Aug. 20, 1945, serving in the South Pacific for 42 months and was S. Sgt. He received the American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct, Presidential Unit Citation with Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Star. He was a member of UNW and past commander, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by sister, Mrs. Louise Christensen, Columbus; brothers Arthur E., Columbus, and Edward C. of Omaha, two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Mrs. Troy (Frances) Endicott.

She was married to Glen M. Jarvis in Omaha February 2, 1928, and lived in Fremont and Lincoln until she moved to Columbus in 1947. She was a registered nurse.
She was a member of St. Isidore Church and Catholic Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America, Franciscian Missionary Union, Hospital Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include sons George R., Belton, Mo., Bill, Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. D.D. Johnson, Ballwin, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; brothers, William and Matt Zitselsperger Carol, Iowa.

KRUMLAND - Willis Walter Krumland, Gerrard Courts, Columbus, died unexpectedly Monday night. He was 56.

He was a retired automobile salesman and was president of Columbus Farm and Storage Company. He served in World War II.
A life member of VFW, he served as Past Commander of American Legion, past member of Columbus Fire Department, Fraternal Order of Eagles, past member of city council, Columbus. He belonged to the International Lutheran Laymen's league.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; children by previous marriage, sons, Gary E. Columbus, Thomas W. He served in the United States Army from February 6, 1941, to October 6, 1941.

He was born September 3, 1950 in Omaha to Joseph and Josephine (Kasik) Dieter and attended Immaculate Conception grade school in Omaha, Creighton Prep High School and Platte College. He married Judith Johnson October 2, 1976 at Columbus. He lived in Omaha until entering the service. He served in Vietnam and upon leaving the service, moved to Columbus. He operated the Dieter Insulation Company.
Survivors include his wife, two children, Sarah Jane, Samuel Joseph, all of Columbus; parents; three brothers, James, David and Mark; eight sisters Mrs. Jack (Karen) Svoboda, Mrs. Ray (Mary Jo) Madij, Mrs. A. Michael (Donna) Foley, Judith, Debra, Cynthia, Katherine, Rebecca; all of Omaha; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Dieter, Omaha, and Mrs. James Kasik, Clarkson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Kasik, Clarkson.

SPEICHER – Mrs. Peter (Elsie) M. Speicher, 85, of Platte Center died Friday evening at Columbus Manor. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Paul Rowoldt officiating and burial is in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
The body will lie in state 2 p.m. Sunday till noon Monday in Gass-Haney Funeral Home, and 1 p.m. till services at the church.
She was born July 5, 1893, at Columbus daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Whitaker. She attended Columbus schools and was married April 20, 1921 to Peter Speicher. They lived in Columbus until moving to Platte Center in 1973. She was a member of the K.K. Klub and Trinity Lutheran church, and the family suggests memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Fund.
Surving [sic] are a daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Mildred) Hassebrook of Platte Center, seven grandchildren, a great grandchild, her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Whitaker of Lincoln, and brother Walter Whitaker of Fallon, Nev.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Carl and Frank of Columbus.

HUGHES – Reuben W. Hughes, 64, Rt. 3, Columbus, died Saturday at his home from an accidentally [sic] shooting.
Funeral services will be conducted by Roland Schrunk at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Columbus with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

He was born November 22, 1913, at Rosalie, Neb., to James and Ethel (Kelley) Hughes. He was a graduate of Plattsmouth High School and moved to Columbus in 1935 at which time he married Francis Miles on September 14, 1935 at Columbus where they lived since that time. He became a roofer in 1935 with Ira Wolfe and in 1953 he bought the business and operated it as Hughes Roofing Company until in 1974 he incorporated with his sons, Robert and Allen.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing; was a cub scout pack leader for five years; he served as pastor of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 25 years. In 1953 he was called to the Priesthood and was ordained an Elder in 1957.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Richard, Robert, Allen, Francis, all of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Self, Mrs. Belva Baldwin, Independence, Mo., Mrs. Dora Hartford, New Jersey; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Walter, Winterset, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Giles, Kellerton, Iowa; an infant son.KOOPMAN – John H. Koopman, 276 20th Avenue, Columbus, formerly of Howells, died Friday in Columbus Community Hospital. He was 79.

He was born April 23, 1921 to Tony and Elsie (Hamling) Oberhauser at Lindsay, Neb. He attended Creighton University, receiving his BS in 1949 and his MS in 1957; NSF Institute; University of South Dakota at Vermillian, 1963; NDEA Media Institute, 1968, West Virginia St. College. He was married to Regina Tomes June 3, 1947, in Omaha.
He served as Superintendent of Schools at Ruskin, Monroe, Humphrey, Duncan, and _____. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1942-46, 5th Amphibious Corps in Pacific, overseas from 1943 to 1945.
He was instrumental in organizing the Duncan Lions Club and served as charter president from 1961 to 1963; was president of Platte County Education Association from 1957 to 1959; was a member of the American Legion, Elks, Platte County Agriculture Scholarship Commission for five years and an active alumnus of Creighton University.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Mrs. Bob (Mary Pat) Hughes, Milpitas, Calf.; granddaughters, Melanie and Andrea; parents of Columbus; brothers and sisters, Jerome of Lindsay, Mrs. Dorothy Schaefer and Mrs. Dennis (Betty) Steiner of Columbus, Bill of Grand Island, Gene of Omaha, Tony of Bellevue; 10 nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a nephew Tom Schaefer.

VON BERGEN – Herbert von Bergen, former Columbus resident, passed away in Denver, Colo., Friday Nov. 10th.
Funeral services were held today at the __________ in Denver. The body is being brought to Columbus for burial in the Columbus Cemetery and will lie in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home until the 3 p.m. prayer service Tuesday with Rev. John McGee officiating.
Mr. von Bergen was born February 18, 1902 in Petersburg, Neb. He attended schools in Columbus and the Grand Island Business College.
He was employed most of his life with the American Crystal Sugar Company in Grand Island, Oxnard, Calif., and Denver, Colo., retiring at the age of 65 as president of the company. After his retirement, he was in banking and real estate business. He was active in civic affairs.
He was married to Helen Winifred Looman in 1945 in Denver.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. David (Gail Ann) Bidwell; a granddaughter, Katherine, of Geneva, Switzerland; sisters, Mrs. J.E. (Alma) Tylle, Mrs. Lorenz (Lucy) Loseke, Cora von Bergen, Columbus and Mrs. Fred (Hortense) Schweser, Fremont; brothers, Otto E. von Bergen, and Charles W. Louis; nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps for two years and served in the Korean War from Feb. 20, 1952 to Feb. 19, 1954. He was also a member of Sertoma’s, American Legion, St. Bonaventure Church, Adoration, Nocturnal Adoration Society.

She was married to Sofus Nelson on January 17, 1918 at Foster, Neb. The farmed in Randolph until 1937 when they moved to Norfolk area and farmed there until 1957. They then moved to Norfolk. For the last several years Mrs. Nelson had lived in the Columbus area.
She was a member of the Eastern Star at Randolph; active in the church organizations; a charter member of the Community Bible Church in Norfolk.

He worked for Burlington Railroad until 1931; for Peter Pan Bakery until his retirement n [sic] 1964. He was an honorary member of Knights of Columbus; honorary member Fraternal Order of Eagles; and St. Bonaventure Church.

Mr. Determan was born in Dallas, S.D. to John and Mamie Weis Determan on September 24, 1907, and grew up in the Dallas community. He attended Gregory County Schools and South Dakota State College at Brookings.
He married Pauline (Polly) Goeden June 1, 1933 at St. Johns Catholic church in Paxton, S.D. and was employed by Swift and Co. until 1945, when he moved to Winer [sic], S.D. as manager of Omaha Cold Storage, later called Ocoma Foods Co. In 1950 he was transferred to Norfolk, where he was most recently associated with Vit-E-Men Co. He was initiated into the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, August, 1943, at Winner and joined Council 1532 at Gregory. In 1968, he was appointed State Master of Nebraska for which he served 10 consecutive years. He served as president of the Chamber of Commerce at Gregory S.D. and was a member of the Rotary Club. He moved to Columbus in 1962.
He was instrumental in organizing Big Brothers-Big Sisters in Columbus and served on the board of directors; was a member of the Lions Club and the B.P.O.E.
He is survived by his wife, Polly; sons, John and Don of Columbus, Larry, Fresno, Calif., Paul, San Diego; daughters, Mrs. Martin (Delores) Rotto, Scappoose, Oreg., Mrs. Jim (Carole) Larkins, Redondo Beach, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers Leo, Rapid City, S.D. He married Pauline Egger January 11, 1924 in Glenwood Iowa, and they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1974. He was a lifetime resident of this area and a retired Union Pacific employee.
He was a member of the National Guards; life member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club, former member of Columbus Volunteer Fire Department, an avid swimmer, having received his 100 mile certificate at the YMCA. He was a member of the Federated Church.

He was born June 24, 1922 in Nance county, Neb., to George and Anna (Worzel) Koza. He received his education in Nance County schools. He married Dolores J. McCormick April 18, 1955. He lived in Nance County until moving to Silver Creek in 1943. In 1962 he operated the Duncan Grocery until moving to Columbus in 1973 where he was employed as Region 10 Civil Defense coordinator.
He was a member of Platte County Civil Defense, Platte Valley C.B. Club, Mid-Nebraska Mutual Fire Association, Columbus Noon Lions, honorary member of Duncan and Silver Creek Fire Departments. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores of Columbus; daughter: Mrs. Larry (Mary Jeanne) Hansen, Columbus; grandchildren Mark and Barbara Hansen; brothers, Charles Silver Creek, Edward, Grand Island, Adolph, Sacramento, Calif.; sisters Mrs. James (Tillie) Stanszyk, Silver Creek, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Barnes, Grand Island, Mrs. Edward (Elsie) Slattery, Grand Island; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bonaventure church for Ben J. Koza, 56, Region 10 Civil Defense Coordinator.
Koza died at his home Sunday morning, apparently of a heart attack.
Koza had been Region 10 Director for five years. Region 10 includes Platte, Colfax, Nance and Boone Counties.
He was also active in the Platte County Civil Defense, Platte Valley C.B. Club, Mid-Nebraska Fire Association, Columbus Noon Lions and was a honorary member of the Duncan and Silver Creek Fire Departments.
The Platte County Courthouse will be closed Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Koza’s funeral.

ZIMMERMAN – Rudolph J. Zimmerman, 760 – 22nd Avenue, died unexpectedly this morning at the Columbus Manor. He was 85. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. John McGee 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Lukes United Church of Christ with burial in Columbus Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Thursday at the McKown Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Zimmerman was born October 6, 1893 at Giltner, Neb., to Rudolph and Magdalina Stricker Zimmerman. He attended Duncan public school and on March 28, 1917, he married Anna R. Ernst in their family home near Duncan. He has lived all his life in this vicinity except for 10 years that he lived in Clarks where he was engaged in farming. He was employed at Hadley Braithwait before his retirement.
He was a member of the St. Luke’s United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, sons, Vernon of Columbus, Donald, Omaha; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joann Taylor, Boynton Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a step-sister, Mrs. Sarah Sullivan, Grand Rapids, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth in 1949; four brothers, Martin, Andy, Ben and Fred; three sisters, Lena, Anna and one in infancy; four step-brothers and step-sisters.

She was born April 17, 1895 in Colfax County to August and Emma (Loseke) Schutte. She received her education in Christ Lutheran and Colfax County schools. She married Emil Asche on March 19, 1919 at Christ Lutheran Church and lived south of Leigh until moving to Columbus in 1960.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed.

In her early years, she was active in church as a Sunday School teacher and served as organist and wherever needed. She was a lifetime member of LCW; a member of Harmony Chapter 13; Order of the Eastern Star and received her 50 year pin; a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her husband of Columbus; son Armand, Columbus; daughters, Mrs. Walter (Glendoris) Krueger, Columbus, Mrs. Chris (Eulalia) Dahmke, David City; two grandchildren, Patricia Dahmke, Omaha, Mark Dahmke, Lincoln; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Walter, Albert, Arthur, Elmer and Carl; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Lina) Luchsinger.

WEBER – Mrs. Charles (Ella) Weber passed away Thursday in an Omaha Hospital where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. She was 82.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m, Monday at the Trinity Lutheran church.
She will lie in state at the Gass-Haney Funeral Home after 1:30 p.m. Sunday and until noon Monday, and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Weber was born August 31, 1896 to John and Anna Hueschen. She lived her early years on a farm northwest of Platte Center with her parents and family. On December 19, 1917, she married Charles Weber of that community and they farmed in that area until 1921 when they moved to Columbus where they have since resided.
Mrs. Weber was a charter member of, and active in, the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also an active member of the Ladies Aid and Friendly Neighbors.
She is survived by her husband; children, Mrs. Benjamin (Arline) Perkins and Dale Weber of Columbus, Vernon of Grand Island, and Delbert of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild; two sisters, Lena Lousberg and Anna Brunken; two brothers, Henry and John.CROMWELL - Anne P. He was 56.

GERBER – Funeral services for Ben J. Gerber, Monroe, will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Monroe Methodist Church with Rev. Do Joo officiating; military graveside services with burial in Columbus Cemetery. Mr. Gerber died Thursday night at the age of 71.
He will lie in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home Sunday after after [sic] 1 p.m. and Monday at the church from 12 to time of service.
He was born November 4, 1907 at rural Duncan to Rudolph and Lizzie (Schmid) Gerber. He married Katherine E. Laudenklas June 12, 1949 in Platte County and lived in Monroe all of their married life. He is a retired machinist from Behlen Manufacturing, having worked there for 25 years.
He served in the Army and Reserves for 17 years during World War II in the European Theater.
He was an active member of the Monroe Lions Club and Monroe Region Club; past member of the fire department, town and school board. He received the Good Neighbor Award in May of 1974, and served as different officers in the various clubs and public offices. He was past Platte County Legion Commander.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monroe, baptized at Gruetli; active member of the brotherhood, served as president of the church, taught Sunday School for many years and was the Sunday School Superintendent.
He is survived by his wife; son, Gayle of Monroe; daughter, Elizabeth at home; one grandson; two granddaughters; a brother Louis Gerber of Monroe; sisters Margaret Reece, Monroe, Bertha Brown, Paxton, Neb.; one uncle; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Peggy Gerber; Sister Rose and an infant brother and infant sisters.

LAKERS – Frances Agnes (Miller) Lakers, 2453 Pershing Road, died Saturday morning in the Columbus Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was 83.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. John Joseph Lakers at St. Bonaventures Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
The body now lies in state at McKown Funeral Home where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today by the 3rd Order of St. Francis and Franciscan Missionary Union, a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. and an 8 p.m. Rosary by Catholic Daughters of America.
Mrs. Lakers was born April 4, 1895 at David City, Neb., to August Miller and Nora Considine. She is a graduate of Kearney Teacher’s College. She married Peter William Lakers May 31, 1927 in St. Marys at David City where she lived. After her marriage, she and Mr. Lakers have since lived in Columbus.
She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary; Girl Scouts of which she conducted two 1-week summer camps, and was the first den mother in Columbus for the Cub Scouts.
She received the Good Neighbor Award from Ak-Sar-Ben; Service to Mankind Award from Sertoma, and was affiliated with the First Order of St. Francis.
She was a member and past regent of the Catholic Daughters of America; a member of the third Order of St. Francis. In 1942 Mrs. Lakers organized the Franciscan Missionary Union and started making vestments and expanded to clothes for men, women and children in mission areas. Many stores in Columbus contributed clothing for the missions through this group. In the 36 years, the FMU involved an average of 100 women and shipped an average of 10,000 pounds of clothing a year to 13 missions in South American [sic] and to as many in the United States.
She is survived by her husband of Columbus; children Paul, London, Eng., Mrs. A.W. (Eleanor) Alexander, Englishtown, N.J.; Fr. John Joseph, Quincy Ill., and Thomas, Knoxville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Anthony Miller, Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Irene Glantz, Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert.

In 1947, they moved to a farm southeast of Wayne and lived there until moving to their present home in Columbus. She was a housewife and a member of St. Bonventure [sic] Church.

He lived in Boone County near Primrose and since 1957, he has lived in Columbus.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Council 938; Holy Name Society; and St. Anthonys Catholic Church.

BRYANT - Jolene Warnick Bryant, 16, of Parkview Trailer Court, died Sunday after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Chapel, Rev. Gary Aten officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday in McKown Funeral Home.
She was born April 4, 1962, at Columbus, daughter of Earl and Leona Warnick. She was married to Don Bryant earlier this year at Columbus.
Survivors are her husband; daughter Christy; father; brothers Leon and Gerry; sister Lori all of Columbus; step-brothers Tim, Arthur and Jimmy of Columbus; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Felix Kieltyka of Columbus, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Miller, Silver Creek. She was preceded by her mother.MAHLIN – Norval G. Mahlin, 67, of 1865 42nd Avenue, died unexpectedly Saturday at home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in McKown Chapel, Rev. John H. Mikkelsen officiating. There will be 3:15 p.m. graveside services at David City Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 29, 1911, at Rising City, son of Harry G. and Bertha Wheeler Mahlin. He was a Rising City High School graduate and attended University of Nebraska. He was married to Eleanor P. Thomas Jan. 30, 1935, at Omaha, and they lived on a farm near Garrison 13 years before moving to Columbus in 1945 where he operated a drill press for Soil Movers Mfg. Co. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are daughters Mrs. Joe (Ginger) Zabka of Santee, Calif., and Mrs. Herbert G. (Nancy) Schultz of Columbus; sons Melvin of Columbus and Onno of San Diego Calif.; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother Kenneth of Beatrice.
He was preceded by parents; two brothers.

Reed, retired president of Reed, Veach, Wurdeman and Associates, Columbus, who passed away in his sleep early Saturday morning, were held at Federated Church today with the Reverend Lee Hicks officiating. Burial followed at Columbus City Cemetery.
Mr. Reed was born in Holdrege, Nebraska on April 16, 1904 to the late Eugene Reed and the former Adella High. Beginning his education in Holdrege the family then moved to Lincoln where Mr. Reed was graduated from Lincoln High School in 1922. He enrolled in the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska and completed two years before his family moved to Washington D.C. when his father accepted a position with the Association of State Utility Commissions.
He then attended George Washington University Engineering College while also being employed with the U.S. Engineer Corps, Rivers and Harbors Division. He returned to Nebraska to finish his education at the University of Nebraska and graduated in 1928 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
He joined the General Electric Company upon graduation and worked in the turbine department in Schenectady, New York, the transformer high voltage laboratory in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and the research laboratory in Schenectady. He was then transferred to New York City to work in the estimator department where he worked until 1934 when he took an indefinite leave of absence to return to Nebraska to work with the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Surveys. He was division chief, heading up a crew of 30 men doing second order triangulation in Nebraska.
That year he then joined the Platte Valley Public Power and Irrigation District as party chief on reservoir and canal location surveys and design of drainage works.
In 1936 he took the position as construction engineer for the Eastern Nebraska Public Power District, Tecumseh, one of the first REA-financed electric distribution systems in the State. In 1927 he joined Loup Power District as engineer in charge, working under D.J. DeBoer, chief engineer. In 1938 he formed a partnership with George Simpson as electrical consultants, with offices in Abilene, Kans., and Quincy, Ill. The partners split up within the next year and Mr. Reed took sole proprietorship of the Abilene office. With the advent of World War II Mr. Reed enlisted in the Navy keeping his office open with a skelaton [sic] crew, and he eventually was assigned as officer in charge of harbor defenses at the Naval Air Station in Attu, Alaska. He was released from active duty in 1945 with the rank of lieutenant senior grade.
Upon release from the service he relocated his consulting engineering office in Columbus, working with Loup Power District to get some badly needed transmission lines built for the District. In 1955 the firm was incorporated with Mr. Reed as president and a separate partnership was joined with Harold Wurdeman of the long established Columbus firm of Wurdeman and Wurdeman Architectural and Engineeering. In 1959 the two firms were merged and the name was changed to Raymond H. Reed, Wurdeman & Associates. In December, 1959, the firm moved to their present address at 1370 31st Avenue, Columbus.
In April, 1970 the corporate name was changed to Reed, Veach, Wurdeman and Associates, birnging [sic] into the partnership Clarence Veach, who had been associated with the firm since before World War II.
Mr. Reed retired from active duty with the firm as president, in May, 1977.
In 1969 Mr. Reed was named "Professional Engineer of the Year" by the State of Nebraska.
He was one of the charter members of the Columbus Chapter of Professional Engineers, serving as state president of that organization. He was a past president of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Columbus Rotary Club, the original Wayside Country Club, and a director of Columbus Federal Savings and Loan. He also was past secretary of the Columbus Planning and Zoning Commission. He was a national director of the Association of Communications Engineers and served one year as president.
Long active in advocating strict ethical professional practices in the consulting engineering professions, Mr. Reed was a spokesman for the profession in placing increasing private enterprise within government channels to reduce bureaucratic inefficiency.
He was married to the former Betty L. Weaver in Lexington, Feb. 11, 1945. They are the parents of one daughter Sally, now Mrs. William Wright Cory of Clear Lake, Iowa.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eugene of Lincoln. He is survived by his wife and daughter, two grandchildren, Brenig and Megan of Clear Lake, a brother, Les Reed of Kansas City and a sister, Mrs. A.B. (Florine) Pickering of Portland, Oregon.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bonaventure Catholic church, Columbus, Rev. Flavius Czuba officiating. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. today in McKown funeral Home with Rosary at 8 p.m. today.
He was born Dec. 18, 1932, at Silver Creek, son of Charles and Clara Torczon Krzycki. He attended St. Anthony and St. Bonaventure Schools and had lived the past 20 years at Aurora. He served in the Marine corps, was employed by Century Mfg. Co., at Autora [sic].
He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors are his father Charles of Genoa; sisters Mrs. Richard (Eugenia) Korger of Columbus and Mrs. Jim (Anna Marie) Schacher of Battle Creek; a brother Francis Krzycki of Columbus; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and four brothers, Adrian, Daniel, Arnold and Paschal.

KOBUS - Leonard P. Kobus, 1410 5th Street, died this morning at his home. He was 55.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Laurin Buzynski at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthonys Church with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be after 1 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home where a 7 p.m. Rosary will be prayed by the Holy Name Society and a 7:30 Rosary by the Parish.
