KOZIOL--Former Columbus resident drowns at Lake Minatare
A former Columbus resident, Alfred P. Koziol, 25, drowned Saturday afternoon at Lake Minatare, about 12 miles northeast of Scottsbluff, when the boat in which he was riding overturned.
Koziol was with two companions, Walter Dermer, 33, Scottsbluff, and Donald D. Bauer, 27, Gering, in a 12-foot fishing boat which capsized about 100 feet from shore. The other two passengers reached shore safely.
