KAVICK--Sam Kavich Dies - Sam Kavich, 83, of Columbus, died Thursday morning in Omaha. Mr. Kavich reportedly went to the home of Mrs. Alice Ennis and asked for a glass of water. As he started to drink the water, he collapsed. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Jewish Funeral Home in Omaha and burial was at Fisher's Farm. Mr. Kavich is survived by his wife, Tillie, of _________________.KOCI--John Koci Dies - John F. Koci, father of John L. Koci of Silver Creek, passed away Sunday at St. Mary's hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's church in Schuyler. The rosary will be prayed at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at the Bideaux chapel.

KNISELY--Mrs. Knisely Dies - Mrs. Jennie Hagel Knisely, 82, of Omaha, former Columbus resident, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, and funeral services will be held in Omaha Tuesday morning. Mrs. Knisely is survived by three sons, Mike Hagel of Lincoln and Chauncey and Harry Hagel of Omaha, two granddaughters, three great-granddaughters, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Hollenbach of Columbus.KUSH--Kush Services - Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Kush, 79, pioneer resident of Tarnov community who died Jan. 13 at her home, were held at 9 a.m. last Friday at St. Michael's Catholic church. Rev. Kanute Labinski, pastor, officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Leo Kush, Edward Sliva, Dennis and Bernard Syslo, and Marvin and Donald Shemek. The daughter of the late Barney Barnas and Mary Lesiak, she was born in Poland in March 1866, and at the age of seven, came to the States with her parents. KULA--Funeral Services Tuesday For Stanley A. Kula
Funeral services for Stanley A. Kula, 38, who passed away at 12:25 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's hospital, where he had been a patient one week, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure church with Fr. Albert Limacher officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Kula had been in failing health the past seven years. The body is lying in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 2 p.m. today until the hour of the service.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanislaus Kula, he was born May 18, 1909, in Columbus. He attended District 3 school and was graduated from St. Bonaventure high school. He attended the Grand Island Business College for two years.
On March 6, 1934, he was united in marriage to Inez Bisson at Wahoo and they have always made their home in Columbus.
Mr. Kula was a member of St. Bonaventure church.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Michael, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife; four children, DeVern, 13, Jimmy, 11, LaVonne, 9, and Lorraine, 7; his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Kula, of Columbus; two brothers, Wallace of Omaha, and Richard of Columbus, two sisters, Mrs. James LaPorte, Council Bluffs, Ia., and Eleanor of Omaha; and two half-brothers, Joseph of Platte Center, and Thomas of Columbus.

KRUMEI--John Krumei, 58, Dies Today, Last Rites on Monday
John Krumei, 58, passed away at 5 a.m. this morning at St. Mary's hospital. Death resuted from a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Bonaventure church with Fr. Albert Limacher officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. Sunday until 3 p.m. that afternoon when it will be taken to the home to lie in state until the hour of the service. Relatives and friends will pray the rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday at the home.
Mr. Krumei was born May 13, 1889, in Deutsch Eisenberg, Mahren Austria, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Krumei. In 1893, he came with his mother and brother and sisters to America and they came to Columbus to join his father and brother who had been here two years. They made their home on a farm and later moved into Columbus.
Mr. Krumei was a salesman for the Abts Wholesale for a number of years and in 1916 became employed as bookkeeper for the Dussell Plumbing Company, a position he held until the company was dissolved. After being custodian for the Eagles hall several years, he retired two years ago.
On June 18, 1918, he was united in marriage to Alice Rufenacht at St. Bonaventure church.
Mr. Krumei was a member of the St. Bonaventure church and the Eagle's lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, one brother, Frank, of Shelbrook, Saskatchewan Canada, and two sisters, Mrs. O.C. Talbot, Clay Center, Kan., and Mrs. Mary Brunner of Columbus.

KSIAZEK--Mr. Ksiazek Dies - Peter Ksiazek, 70, died suddenly about 3 p.m. Thursday at his home three miles west of Clarks. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic church in Clarks with Rev. Fr. Kunkel officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body will be taken from the Fleming Funeral Home in Silver Creek to the family home at 4:30 p.m. Sunday to lie in state until the hour of the service. He had resided west of Clarks the past 25 years and spent most of his life farming in the Nance and Merrick county community. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Peter's church of Clarks and also a member of the Holy Name society. He was preceded in death by four children and is survived by his wife, Anna; four sons, Stanley, Ted, Alonzo, all of Clarks, and Leo of Omaha; four daughters, Mrs. Max Nenneman of Omaha, Mrs. Frank Swantek of Fullerton, Mrs. Eddie Cieloha of Silver Creek, and Miss Cecilia, at home; three brothers, Stanley of Ashton, Walter of Wolbach, and Frank of Fullerton, and two sisters, Mrs. Vincent Palcz of Elba and Mrs. Tom Grella of Ashton.

SOKOL--Mrs. Anna Sokol, 84, passed away at 6:30 a.m. this morning at the Lutheran hospital. She fell and broke her hip New Year's Day at the nursing home in St. Edward where she had been a patient four months. Funeral arrangements are pending.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kudron, she was born in May 1863, at Tarnov, Poland. She grew to womanhood there and on Nov. 2, 1885, was united in marriage to Louis Sokol in Tarnov. They came to the United States in 1897 and settled on a farm in Platte County. They also farmed in Nance county, retiring in 1926 to move to Silver Creek to make their home. Mr. Sokol passed away April 16, 1938 and Mrs. Sokol came to Columbus to make her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Sokol.
She was a member of St. Bonaventure church.
Mrs. Sokol was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and one brother and is survived by two sons, John of Columbus and Anton of Los Angeles and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Opella of Chicago, 27 granchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

KOSCH--Mrs. Kosch Dies - Mrs. Anna Kosch, 70, of Humphrey, who had made her home in Columbus the past one and one-half years, passed away at noon Wednesday at the Old Home in Humphrey. Funeral services will be held at St. Francis church in Humphrey at 9 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Kosch was born at Ferdinand, Ind., and came to Humphrey in 1896. She was married to Joe Kosch Feb. 16, 1897, and Mr. Kosch passed away in April, 1932. She is survived by four chidlren, Mary Lubisher, Deadwood, S.D., Louis, Kanorado, Kans.; Frank at home in Humphrey, and Elsie Weis, Sacramento, Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Labens and Mrs. Lizzie Nebosis of Columbus and Mrs. Mary Hassenstab, Salem, Ore.

KONZ--Lindsay Farmer Killed Tuesday In Tractor Accident
LINDSAY, April 1 (Special) - Rudolph Konz, about 60, prominent farmer of this vicinity, was killed instantly Tuesday afternoon in a tractor accident on his farm three miles west and three miles south of Lindsay.
The accident occurred about 5:30. Konz was driving his tractor up out of a ditch when it turned over backward and fell on top of him.
He is survived by his wife, four sons and three daughters. Funeral arrangements are pending.

KUTA--Mrs. Mary Kuta Dies, Final Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Mary Kuta, 78, passed away at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's hospital where she had been a patient one day. She had been in failing health for several years. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's church with Fr. Hilarin Lapiski officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Gass Funeral home from 2 p.m. this afternoon, until the hour of the service. Relatives and friends will pray the rosary at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Gass chapel.
As Mary Gruwaski, she was born Aug. 14, 1869, in Poland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gruwaski. She was united in marriage to John Kuta in 1894 in Poland. Mr. and Mrs. Kuta and son, Joe, came to the United States in 1903 and came directly to Columbus. She had since resided here.
Mrs. Kuta was a member of St. Anthony's church and the Rosary of six candidates.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter who died in infancy, and a son who died in 1920.
She is survived by her husband and two sons, Charley of Columbus and Joe of North Platte.

Mrs. Mary Louisa Herrguth, 78, passed away at 9 a.m. Thursday at her home in Platte Center. She had been in failing health about one and one-half years. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the family home in Platte Center and at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran church with Rev. W. S. Holstein officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 11 a.m. Saturday until 3:30 p.m. that afternoon when it will be taken to the home to be until the hour of service.
As Mary Louisa Schroeder, she was born March 7, 1870, in the state of Iowa. At the age of four years, she came to Nebraska with her parents, the late William and Augusta Schroeder, and settled on a farm near Humphrey. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed at Christ Lutheran church by Pastor Fischer.
On March 8, 1893, she was united in marriage to Charles Fredrick Herrguth at Humphrey and they had always made their home at Platte Center. To them were born two children, Alvin F. Herrguth of Platte Center and Carl F. Herrguth of Columbus.
She was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran church in Platte Center and was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died Jan. 3, 1920, two brothers, Charles Schroeder of Albion, and William Schroeder of San Francisco, and one sister, Mrs. Ed Walters of Humphrey.
Mrs. Herrguth is survived by her two sons, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Clother of Platte Center and Mrs. Anna Lewis of Humphrey, and two brothers, John Schroeder of Omaha and Ed Schroeder of Rockford, Ill.JAEGGI--Mrs. Bertha Jaeggi, Columbus Pioneer, Dies in California
Mrs. ertha C. Jaeggi, 87, one of the pioneers of Columbus, passed away April 20 at Oakland, Calif. The body is at the Gass Funeral home and funeral arrangements will be carried in Saturday's Telegram.
Mrs. Jaeggi, nee Meyer, was born on the shore of Lake Constance in Switzerland. In the year 1885, she came to Columbus as the bride of Leopold Jaeggi. They made their home in this city until Mr. Jaeggi's death in 1930 and in the year 1942 Mrs. Jaeggi moved to Oakland, Calif., where two of her daughters reside.
Mr. Jaeggi is survived by three daughters, Mrs. F.K. Kruger, Valparaiso, Ind., Mrs. H. Fontein, and Mrs. H.L. Hess of Oakland, Calif., three grandchildren, Gerhard Kruger of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Helen Luhr Kruger of Rochester, N.Y., and Robert Lee Hess of Oakland, Calif., and two nephews, Walter Jaeggi of Columbus and Ernst Jaeggi of North Platte.

KNIGHT--Mrs. M. Knight Dies - Funeral services for Mrs. Malissa M. Knight, pioneer resident of Platte county who died May 3, were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis church in Humphrey, Rev. Claude Rust, O.F.M., pastor, officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery and active pallbearers were Jack Bunker, John Ternus, B.J. Preston, Michael Meyer, Simon Bender and M.J. Dober. Honorary pallbearers were Mesdames N.J. Steffes, Louis Hittner, Michael Meyer, Joseph Labenz and J.F. Alpers and Miss Cecelia German. As Malissa M. Jordan, daughter of Patrick and Elizabeth (Becker) Jordan, she was born at Chesterville, Ont., Canada, on May 22, 1859. She received her education in the schools in that vicinity completing her education in the school in Chesterville. It was in that city that on Dec. 25, 1882, she was united in marriage to Henry Knight. A few months after their marriage they left Canada and came to Nebraska, settling in the Creston community, where they engaged in farming. They retired from farm life in 1922 and went to Humphrey to make their home. Following the death of her husband she continued to remain in her home but for the past few years had been residing with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Pruitt. She was the second oldest of 11 children and she and another sister were the only ones in the family who ever left Canada. During her residence in Nebraska she made 12 trips back to Canada. Besides her ony daughter, Mrs. Wade Pruitt, Mrs. Knight is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Flood and Mrs. Celia Kenelly of McAlpnie, Ont., Mrs. Jack Whalen, Ottawa, Ont., one brother, Thomas Jordan of Hull, Ont., four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was a devout member of the Catholic church and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the Platte County Pioneer association.

Funeral services for Robert L. Kent, 52, who died at 3 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, following a three years illness, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure church with Fr. Albert Limacher officiating. The body will arrive in Columbus at 5:41 p.m. Sunday and will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 11 a.m. Monday until the hour of the service. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery. Relatives and friends will pray the rosary at 8 p.m. Monday at the Gass chapel.
Mr. Kent was born Dec. 16, 1895, at Norfolk, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Kent. When 13 years of age, he moved with his parents to Madison where they resided two years and then came to Columbus. He attended Columbus high school and the Omaha Art Institute.
He was a veteran of World War I, having served from Sept. 17, 1917, to June 5, 1919, with the 355th infantry company K, in Germany and France.
Upon his discharge, he became an interior decorator and painter. He lived in Chicago, Omaha and Seattle, Wash., and from there went to Alaska. He became ill in Alaska and was taken to Ogden, Utah, for medical care. He was later taken to the Veterans hospital at Salt Lake City.
Mr. Kent was a member of St. Bonaventure church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen S., and a sister, JoAnn. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Kent of Columbus, and four sisters, Mrs. Gladys K. Wikstrom, Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Elsie Kiernan, Dunsmuir, Calif., Mrs. Celia Madison, Omaha, and Mrs. Gertrudde Pilcher, Yreke, Calif.

KOHLER--Mrs. Kohler Dies - Mrs. Anna Kohler, 70, died May 22 at the Ellensburg, Wash., hospital. Mrs. Kohler had been in failing health for some time and suffered a heart attack May 21. She was born Anna Stauffer in Columbus Sept. 9, 1877. She was married in Columbus to K.O. Kohler and they went to Ellensburg, where he had been established as a large sheep operator for several years, following a honeymoon in Switzerland. Mrs. Kohler's mother, Mrs. John Stauffer, and her family moved to Ellensburg soon afterward. Mrs. Kohler is survived by two sons, Garfield J. Kohler of Ellensburg, and Karl Kohler of Portland, Ore; two daughters, Miss Barbara Kohler of Ellensburg, and Mrs. Elizabeth Bardwell of Graham, Wash.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Kohler and Mrs. Martha Swartz, both of Los Angeles. Mr. Kohler died Feb. 16, 1937. She was also preceded in dead [sic] by a sister, Mrs. Bertha E.S. Tiffany, of Ellensburg, and a brother, John W. Stauffer.

KENT--Kent Services - Funeral services for Robert L. Kent, 52, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure church with Fr. Albert Limacher officiating. Burial was in St. Bonaventure cemetery. JILG--Jilg Rites - Funeral services for Mrs. Leo Jilg, 40, were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peters church in Clarks with Rev. John Kunkel, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Clarks Catholic cemetery with Gerald Shonsey, Jake Zoucha, Dan Hayes, Vincent Douglas, George Schutte and Joe Miller serving as pallbearers. As Mary Elizabeth Loebbe, Mrs. Jilg was born July 7, 1907, at Stanton, the daughter of Genevieve Viges Loebbe and William Loebbe. As a young girl she moved with her parents to Osmond. She was graduated from the Osmond high school in 1924, and taught school for four years near there. On May 28, 1928, she was united in marriage to Leo Jilg, after which they spent ten years farming in the Osmond community. The past ten years they have made their home in Clarks. Surviving are her husband, nine children, Lucetta, Mary Helen, Rose Ann, Geraldine, Francis, Dorothy, Eleanor, Ralph and Carol all at home, her father, William Loebbe of Stanton, three sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by one son, Leo Jilg., jr., who died May 22, 1944.KOZA--Koza Services - Funeral services for George Koza, 81, were held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus church in Duncan with Rev. George Mikulski, pastor, officiating. KUEHNERT--To Hold Services Tuesday for Mrs. Marie Kuehnert
Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Kuehnert, 84, who died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Ervan Schroeder, at Enid, Olka., [sic] will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gottlieb Wilke home and at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran church with Rev. Martin Borneman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran cemetery. The body arrived Sunday evening and was taken from the Gass Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. today to the Gottlieb Wilke home to lie in state until the hour of the service.
As Marie Amalie Ruhland, Mrs. Kuehnert was born Sept. 6, 1863, at Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Fredrick Ruhland. When eight years of age, her father accepted a call to Dresden, Germany, and she made her home in Germany eight years. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed when 14 years old in Germany.
She returned to the United States in 1879 and made her home at Milwaukee, Wis. On April 29, 1885, she was married there to Rev. J.P. Kuehnert. They made their home at West Point until 1890 when Rev. Kuehnert acepted a call to Lyons where he served until 1918. He then held a pastorate at Columbus at Christ Lutheran church, 12 miles northeast of Columbus from 1918 to 1928, when he retired from the ministry and they continued to make their home at Columbus.
Rev. Kuehnert passed away May 29, 1929. Mrs. Kuehnert moved to St. Louis in 1934 and made her home there eight years. Since, she has made her home with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Kuehnert was a Gold Star mother, and was on the first shipload of Gold Star mothers who visited Europe after World War I.
Nine of her 14 children children survive. They are Karl Kuehnert, Los Angeles, Calif.; Paul Kuehnert, Clarinda, Ia.; Rev. Ruolph Kuehnert, St. Louis, Mo.; Rev. Richard Kuehnert, St. Charles Mo.; Mrs. Martin Kollmorgen, Cincinnati, O.; Mrs. Gustav Kreft, Flagler, Colo.; Mrs. Paul Grotelueschen, Wausau, Wis.; Mrs. Gottlieb Wilke, Columbus, and Mrs. J.H. Schuricht, Los Angeles.
She is also survived by 50 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three brothers, Rev. Herman Ruhland, Philadelphia, Pa.; William Ruhland, and Dr. George Ruhland, Washington D.C.

KIRCHNER--Mrs. Jos. Kirchner Dies Here While Visiting Mother
Mrs. Joseph Kirchner, 49, of Alliance died at 2:20 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's hospital. She came with her family to spend the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Joseph Zwiener, and suffered a stroke Saturday night. She had been in failing health the past six months. The body will lie in state from 3 to 5 today at the Gass Funeral Home and will then be shipped to Alliance for services. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary church with Monsignor Manning officiating. Burial will be made in the Calvary cemetery.
As Minnie S. Zwiener, Mrs. Kirchner was born May 30, 1899, in Butler county, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mrs. Zwiener. On Aug. 23, 1921, she was married to Joseph Kirchner at St. Peter's church in Bellwood. They made their home in Bellwood until 1930 when they moved to Alliance to reside seven years. They returned to Bellwood for six years and then moved to Alliance where they have resided since.
She was a member of the Holy Catholic church and the Altar Society.
Mrs. Kirchner was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband; six children, Harold W., Richard P., Carroll J., Norman Jean, and John Joseph, all of Alliance, and Mrs. Raymond Hough of Bellwood; her mother, Mrs. Joseph Zwiener of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Nicolas of Shelby and Miss Valeria of Columbus; and three brothers, Emil of Bellwood, Frederick of Rising City, and Joe of Columbus.

KOCZOR--Leo Koczor Dies In Omaha, Last Rites Saturday
Leo Koczor, 46, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Clarkson hospital in Omaha where he had been a patient three days. He had been ill about two weeks. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's church, Pilsno, with Fr. Edw. Jaworowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home Friday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. when it will be taken to the family home one mile south and one mile east of St. Mary's church, Pilsno, south of Duncan. The rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Friday at the home.
Mr. Koczor was born Aug. 12, 1901, in Polk county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Koczor. He had always made his home on farms in Polk county. On Feb. 25, 1930, he married Miss Helen Czarnick in Krakow church.
Mr. Koczor was a member of St. Mary's Pilsno church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one son who died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife; five children, Mrs. Teddy Ziemba of Fullerton, Louie, Richie, Mike and Joan, all at home; seven brothers, Joe of St. Edward, Ben of West Point, Alex of South Dakota, Steve of Silver Creek, Frank of Osceola, Clarence of North Platte, and Ed of Silver Creek; and two sisters, Mrs. Felix Stachura and Mrs. Rose Dell, both of Chicago.

Funeral services for S/Sgt. Richard F. Kolm, who will be brought home from overseas for reburial, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Bonaventure's church.
Fr. Albert Limacher will officiate, and burial will be made in St. Bonaventure's cemetery with Hartman Post No. 84, American Legion, and V.F.W. Post No. 3704 in charge of the graveside military services. The rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the family home.
The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home upon its arrival Wednesday until the hour of service.
S/Sgt. Kolm was born in Columbus on March 16, 1922, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Kolm. He graduated from Kramer High school in 1942 and before entering the army, he was employed here at the Reece Shoe Factory.
He entered the service on Sept. 10, 1942, and had been overseas for about two years serving in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. He died of wounds suffered on Luzon on March 18, 1945.
Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Raymond and Virgil of Columbus, and Paul of Los Angeles; three sisters, Miss Florence Kolm of Columbus, Mrs. Herman Martensen of Los Angeles and Mrs. William Williamson of Waunakee, Wis., and his fiancee, Miss Philapena Zerr.

Mrs. M.D. Karr, 88, former long-time resident of Columbus, died abouot 9 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln General Hospital, where she had been a patient for a week. She had been in poor health for several years.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Federated church, with D. Lee Grace officiating. Burial will be made in the Columbus cemetery.
As Sarah Louise Evans, she was born in Canada on July 6, 1860. She came to the United States with her parents and resided in Battle Creek, Mich., where she was united in marriage with Myron D. Karr on Dec. 8, 1881.
They lived in Battle Creek until 1888, when they moved to Omaha, and in 1904 came to Columbus to make their home. Both were active in civic and religious affairs, Mr. Karr having aided in erection of the Federated church edifice and served seven years as Sunday School superintendent, and helping organized the Y.M.C.A. in its early days here. They were prominent in Masonic and Eastern Star circles.
Mr. Karr died in 1935. Mrs. Karr is survived by a grandson, Myron J. Olseen of Lincoln, with whom she made her home since 1944. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Olseen, who died in 1927.

Mrs. Ida B. Kupp, 80, long-time resident of Columbus, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at St. Mary's hospital. She had been in failing health for the past two months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Protestant church with Rev. Joseph Mayer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
She was born April 15, 1868, in Duren-Asch, Switzerland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Berchi. In 1890, she was united in marriage to Gottlieb Kupp in Zurich, Switzerland, and to this union four sons were born. In the spring of 1913, she and her husband came to the United States to make their home in Columbus.
She was confirmed in the Reformed church in Dure-Asch, Switzerland.
Mrs. Kupp was a member of the Senior Ladies' Aid and Quilting Society of the Evangelical Protestant church, and the Swiss Ladies' Society.
She is survived by four sons, Gottlieb, jr., of Columbus, Jake of Omaha, Otto of North Hollywood, Calif., and Albert of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving in Switzerland are two brothers, Jacob and Adolph Berchi, and one sister, Suzette Custer.

Lucille Frances Kosiba, 4, passed away at 9 a.m. this morning at St. Mary's hospital, from burns sustained Monday morning at her home.
Funeral servcies will be held at 8:30 a.m., Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic church at Duncan. Fr. George Milkulski will officiate and burial will be in the St. Staninslaus [sic] cemetery. The body will be taken from the Gass Funeral Home to the family home at 4:30 this afternoon to be until the hour of service.
She was born Oct. 20, 1944, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon C. Kosiba of Duncan.
Survivors are her parents, five sisters, Elizabeth at St. Joseph's Convent at Denver, Colo., and Lois, Joan, Rosaline and Margaret all at home; one brother, Leon, jr., at home; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Kosiba of Duncan; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Czapla of Genoa.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis, in 1942.

KREBS--Mr. Krebs Dies - Word has been received that Joseph Krebs, 69, Spokane, Wash., passed away Oct. 28, and buried Oct. 31. He is survived by two brothers, Frederick Thomas Krebs of Columbus and Sam Krebs of Providence, R.I.; one sister, Mrs. George Bitner, lives in Idaho. Mr. Krebs is a former Columbus resident.

Gustav Henry Kunneman was born on a farm 10 miles north of Columbus on Nov. 29, 1883, the son of Herman and Anna Kunneman. He was a resident of this community all of his life. He was married to Mrs. Kate Rickert Wolfe on Feb. 3, 1931 by Rev. Otto Batzat at York. They lived on his home place north of Columbus until 1942 at which time they moved to Columbus. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by the late Rev. Freeze at the Christ Lutheran church. He was a devout member of the Christ Lutheran church while he resided in the rural community and was affiliated with the Immanuel Lutheran church after moving to Columbus.
He is survived by his widow, one son, John Gustav; one step-daughter, Mrs. Charles Sladek of Schuyler; two granddaughters, Patricia Jean and Dorothy Mae Sladek of Schuyler; three sisters, Mrs. John Brakenhoof [sic] of Columbus; Mrs. Walter Gertch of Fremont, and Mrs. Anna Lyles of California; two brothers, Walter of Hammond, Ind., and Herman of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Mrs. _______________

KUNNEMAN--Kunneman Services - Funeral services for Gustav Henry Kunneman, 65, who died at his home Sunday were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the family home and at 2:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran church, Rev. A.H. Guettler, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the Christ Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Ewald Dohn, Charles Brunken, Carl Riske, Henry Bakenhus, Albert Gigax, and George Schwank.

KUPP--Gottlieb Kupp Dies; Funeral Services Tuesday
Funeral services for Gottlieb Kupp, 83, who died at 4 a.m. today at the home of his son in Omaha, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Gass Funeral Chapel and at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Protestant church. Rev. Joseph Mayer will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. Monday until the hour of services, at the Gas [sic] Funeral Home.
Gottlieb Kupp was born Sept. 16, 1865 in Zurich, Switzerland, the son of Gottlieb and Bertha Kupp. He lived in Switzerland for 47 years at the end of which time he moved to Columbus where he lived until he was taken to the home of his son in Omaha. He received his education in Zurich Switzerland and was married to Ida Bertschi in 1890. Mr. Kupp farmed for many years. He was a member of the Evangelical Proestant church.
He is survived by four sons, Gottlieb, jr., of Columbus, Jake of Omaha, Otto of North Hollywood, Calif., and Albert of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
