l-0. This is actually Thomas THOMAZIN (1824-1892) Photographer: Hutching's Railroad Photo Car which operated in Columbus Nebraska Feb 1885-Mar 1885; the wide gold borders were popular 1884-1885 |
l-1. L-R: This is a brown tintype, popular 1870-1885. Fairly certain the gentleman sitting in chair is George THOMAZIN (1856-1901). Believe the gentleman standing is one of his brothers, possibly John Robert (1858-1934). Note the ring on John’s ‘pinky’ finger; he is also shown wearing one in photo l-12 and l-24. The backgrounds of this tintype and 28a are similar, as are the gentleman, so possible O. A. Stearns was also the photographer for this tintype. |

Thomas Roy (1885-1968); George Sr. (1856-1901); Robert Howard (1889-1971); George Jr. (1877-1961); Maria (1857-1951); Ethel Mildred (1891-1991); James Albert (1883-1958); Fannie Viola (1881-1969) Note: the back of the photo indicates this is Mary Maria, but she married in Dec of 1893, thus the reason the girl shown is most likely Fannie rather than Mary |

Initials “E.J.W.” at top of card, would be Ethel Julia (Thomazin) White, g-granddaughter of Rebecca. Photographer: Beales & Sons, 5 New Road, Spalding |
l-11a. The Marion code at bottom of card indicates the card stock was printed well after the actual photo was taken. Note initials “E.J.W.” at top of card. |
