Humphrey St. Francis - The decision was made on October 10, 1883 to build a parochial school. Permission had already been given to collect money for that purpose and excavations were begun on December 17, with Frank Brockhaus in charge. The first school was a two-story brick veneer structure and was so arranged that the Sisters also used it as a residence. It was completed in less than a year, and was dedicated on November 2, 1884, and occupied at once. St. Francis High School opened in 1909.First high school class:
- Rita Eisenmenger, Clara Baechler, Henrietta Kersch, Henrietta Breunig, and Antoinette Fangman
