[The Columbus Telegram, October 14, 1910] Last Sunday evening, while everybody was in Humphrey attending the mission services in St. Francis church the school house in district 66, better known as the Bunker school, was stsruck by lightning and with its entire contents was burned to the ground. Nothing could be done to save any of the contents, for by the time the first people arrived on the scene the building was pracically consumed. the loss is estimated to have been about $1,000. The building and contents was insurned for $700. The shool was be re-built, but there will not be any school in the district this year. Miss Mable Ingstrom was the teacher.
