This scene of Nemaha City, looking north, shows the restaurant operated by William Kerker; the City Meat Market, owned by Peter Kerker; the Post Office, where May Kerker-Roberts was a post mistress; Gilbert's Store, where Louis Kerker worked, and which was later owned by Louis and Fay Kerker and operated as Kerker Brothers'; the bank, where Fay Kerker worked at one time; the library building, and the millinery shop.

About 1915, Edwards & Bradford Lumber Company which was later bought by J. O. Johnson.  This hardware store and lumber yard burned shortly after World War II.
