Yznaga died Thursday, Aug. 30 in Lincoln at the age of 64. Born to Leon and Sylvia (Scott) Burdick of Lincoln May 15, 1937, Yznaga attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was a former teachers aide at Huntington Elementary School and for the past 20 years was a custodian for the Waverly Public School system. She was a member of St. Patrick s Catholic Church. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Faith Yznaga of Cleveland, OH and Antonio "Tony" Yznaga of Lincoln; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Doug Higel of Clatonia, Consuelo "Connie" Hejl of Spirit Lake, IA, Michelle and Bill Cita of Waverly, and Deanna Yznaga of Lincoln; and five grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Arnold Klein of Portland, OR, Irene and Hank Roth of Hastings, MN, and Gladys and Jack Lear of Lincoln; special friend, Clara Breed of Lincoln; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio "Tony", infant son, Martin; parents, and sister, Lucy Cook. Father Gerel Scholl officiated at the service.
