HAD FINE TRIP
Clyde and Lillie Wilson returned Monday from a two week vacation spent in Kansas and Oklahoma. They visited relatives in Arkansas City, Portland, Salina and Gypsum, Kansas, and went to the Indian Reservation in northern Oklahoma.
Enroute home they stopped in Lincoln for a week end visit in the Dr. C. C. Pelikans home. Mrs. Pelikans is their niece.
Mr. Wilson reported lots of wheat in Kansas, much of it lying on the ground for lack of storage. He also stated most parts of Kansas appeared to need rain.
ENJOYED REUNION
Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen, Charles and Roberta returned home Monday evening from Des Moines, Iowa, where they had taken Mrs. Larsen’s brother, Birchard Holden, the previous Saturday. Birchard had been here the past six weeks helping with harvest.
While in Des Moines, three other brothers of Mrs. Larsen joined them for a family reunion. This was the first time the four brothers and sister had been together since April 1942, as all four men served overseas in the armed forces.
Mrs. Larsen’s parents and two sisters live in Richmond, Virginia, and were unable to be present.
