Sunny Hill, Nebraska, July 28, 1888
At a meeting of the Citizens of Highland, Hayes County, Nebraska held persuant to posted notices according to law at Highland aforesaid County and State on Saturday, July 28, 1888 at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of forming a cemetery association. The said meetng was called to order by Mr. John Coleman.
On motion Samuel Snoke was elected Chairman and John Bishop Secretary.
On motion it was resolved to form an association to be called Union Cemetery Association.
On motion Samuel Snoke, John Coleman, J. M. Bishop, J. T. Slater and Samuel C. Patterson (?) were appointed a committee to draft Constitution and By-Laws.
On motion the meeting was adjourned till Saturday evening August 11, 1888 at 7 o'clock P. M.
